About the Author
I bring insights and experiences from a couple fascinating careers to the pages of my thrillers. These include service in Soviet Counterintelligence with the US Army Special Forces (Green Berets) and running cutting-edge medical-technology companies all over the world. I draw heavily from both to create intriguing plots and script authentic action, while striving for a pace that keeps the pages turning themselves.

Reviewed by Mamta Madhavan for Readers' Favorite Betrayal by Tim Tigner is a thriller that revolves around betrayed FBI Agent Odysseus Carr and his FBI Profiler sister Cassandra. Believed dead by the corporate and political powers that framed Al-Qaeda for the murder of his team, Odi has actually been rescued by an Iranian missionary doctor. As he seeks justice Rambo style, the same people who manipulated Odi's death are now using his sister Cassi to track him down. These two are just the start of a series of cunning betrayals that give this political thriller its name. We all live in a world filled with the fear of terror attacks and terror strikes. Betrayal introduces a new and creative form of terrorist weapon in a fast paced thriller with many twists, turns, and moments of suspense. The scenes are crisp and deep. The story is engaging and readers will be quickly be hooked. The characters of Cassi and Odi are powerful and intelligent. Amplifying different aspects of the terrorism angle, Betrayal has two competing themes running throughout: patriotism and greed. The author has blended these masterfully and thought provokingly into the plot. Readers who like themes of espionage, politics, and terrorists will enjoy the story. There is not a dull moment in the book. The story is intellectually stimulating and the writing is cogent. All the characters contribute in their own unique way to the pace, intensity, depth and complexity of a gripping story that is sure to pull you in.
This was such a fun book to read and was unlike most books that I have read. It is very rare that you really truly are not sure if the main character(s) are going to get out of the situation that they are in alive, this one was that. In fact, you really didn't know what was going to happen until the last 20 pages or so. As can be imagined it keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. It is also one of those books that makes you think about real life and "could this actually happen", and for me personally, I tend to try to put situation and real life people in those situations. Even though she is female and the antagonists in this book is a male, you could definitely draw a parallel to real life politicians. Hillary Clinton (her handling of Benghazi and all of her scandals really) or Barrack Obama (and his insistence on executive orders, keeping America in the dark when he makes decisions, and him thinking that he knows better than everyone in the world how to do things) come to mind to me. Between Coercion and Betrayal, Tim Tigner has risen up to one of my favorite authors with Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and Brad Taylor, so if you enjoy those authors, give this book a read and you won't be dissapointed!!! This is a great read for any adult above the age of 12 that enjoys a great thriller whether you are male or female, democrat, independent or republican.
