Finally - Sam's story! I'll admit, I was back and forth between #TeamAlex and #TeamSam when I read the first two books in this series. I mean, how could I choose?! But I was so happy to finally get Sam's story. If you've read the first two books, you know that Sam hasn't had an easy go of it. I was cheering for him to find his happy ending. In Betrayed By Lies, we meet Kate... and I loved her from the first moment I met her! I soooo wanted her to be Sam's happy ever after. But of course, nothing in Sam's life is easy.... I won't post spoilers, but this book was definitely not as high action or high drama as the first two books in the series. It was decidedly more subdued, and although I thoroughly enjoyed the story, parts of it felt very rushed and left me wanting more. The story wrapped up much too quickly and neatly for me - I would have lover another 100 pages! But overall, it was a wonderful way to wrap up the series - and the epilogue was perfection!

**4 Stars** You need to read books 1 & 2 prior to reading Sam's story in Betrayed by Lies, it will make more sense and make you appreciate Sam more. When book 2 ended, you had a name for Sam's companion, which is Kate, but that's all you had. I was dying to know more about Kate and how she and Sam came about. This is exactly what Betrayed by Lies did. You got the story of Sam and Kate. Although it seemed their romance moved a little quick, you have full appreciation of Sam finding love. I like knowing that he has his happily ever after. You see how Sam has moved on from Emilia and how his relationship with Alex begins again, which give you a full circle of everything the family has gone through. Sam and Kate might have moved fast with each other but I don't think their story could have been any more perfect for them. I can't wait to see what else Rebecca brings to us in the future!

Betrayed By Lies can in theory be read as a standalone, however, I would personally recommend reading the first two books in this series first as this is where, Sam's (MC) story really begins. Overall, this was a good fast paced read. My attention was held throughout and the characters are more than likeable and will have you routing for them. This book had a lovely emotional feel to it; it was very much about forgiveness and healing and of course romance. The romance between Kate and Sam was a little bit too insta for my personal tastes but I definitely did feel their chemistry. This was quite a quick read and at times, I felt some plot elements were brushed over a little quickly and I would have loved a little more depth to the romance element but that aside, this was an enjoyable read and a nice climax to this series. 3.5 stars I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher; there was no inducement or obligation.

“Sometimes you have to throw out the rules and just roll with what’s happening.” This is the book that I’ve been waiting for!! If you’ve been following the Bound and Broken Series, than you have been waiting with baited breath, just as I have to get your hands on Sam’s story. And I gotta tell you, Sam’s story was so worth the wait. One thing I must tell you before I continue on with my review is that Betrayed By Lies is not a stand-alone novel. Even though it is Sam’s story, you will need to read the other two books before starting this one. The other two books are amazing, so you won’t regret it! Betrayed By Lies picks up right where the last book left off. Sam is in need of a fresh start, so when the opportunity presents itself, he jumps at the chance. What he didn’t plan on was Kate. Sam moved to rebuild his life, his career and in turn, he found love in the most unexpected place. Kate would become the salvation he never expected. However, as you must know, nothing in Sam’s life is ever easy or goes as planned. The stakes are high and the risks even higher. The only thing Sam knows for certain is that losing Kate is not an option… Betrayed by Lies was a quick and easy read for me. I loved the fast pace and couldn’t get enough of Sam’s story. I think that Kate was the perfect match for him. While she didn’t know every aspect of Sam’s job, she understood the stress and demands of it. She listened, accepted and understood the man that Sam was. She brought him back to life and made him want to risk his heart again. Kate and Sam together were a terrific match. Their chemistry was instant and scorching. I loved seeing these two together and couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see how their story was going to play out. Betrayed by Lies was the perfect ending to this series. The story-line was a ton of fun and was a story that I could easily finish in just a few hours. As I previously stated, I loved the pacing. It was fast and there was never a dull moment. This story had the perfect amount of drama, sex, action and of course a few twists along the way. Overall, a really great read to spend the afternoon getting lost in!

What a great ending for these characters. At the end of book 2, I did wonder what had happened to Sam and how he would go on after Alex and Emelia. I was so excited to see his instant chemistry with Kate. She is the perfect balance to Sam and just what he needs in his life. She has a high powered job and has a brother who is an ATF agent as well, so she understands the demands of Sam's job. I loved their quick fall with each other. The epilogue of this book was my favorite part :) My only wish for this book would be a little bit more build out to the story. This was a shorter story than I was expecting for Sam and I would have loved to see more of him and Kate falling in love and navigating through his case. But the ending was great and I loved it.

I have mad love for this book and for this lady, she weaves a world you can instantly get lost into and I have to say that I am so glad I discovered her words. This book isn’t one I can sum up very well because it’s a ramble in my head even now. It’s fun and sexy and yes there is drama but it is not a drama that makes you want to scream. It is more that you want the characters to be okay, you want to know that they’re gonna be okay. I will not go into details about what happens in the book because spoilers. I will say this however it is worth the read. It’s not a read you will regret reading. 4 stars
