About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessie Evans, gave up a career as an international woman of mystery to write the sexy, contemporary romances she loves to read.

She's married to the man of her dreams, and together they're raising a few adorable, mischievous children in a cottage in the jungle. She grew up in rural Arkansas, spending summers running wild, being chewed by chiggers, and now appreciates her home in a chigger-free part of the world even more.

When she's not writing, Jessie enjoys playing her dulcimer (badly), sewing the worlds ugliest quilts to give to her friends, going for bike rides with her house full of boys, and drifting in and out on the waves, feeling thankful for sun, surf, and lovely people to share them with.

Nice story showing how true love CAN stand the test of time and trials. Also the importance of a loving family, and how a lack can mess with so many lives in so many ways.

Will. She Give Him A Second Chance?  Betting on You, by Jessie Evans, is a story of trust, love and forgiveness. Mason, recently finished med school and joined a family medical group in Atlanta. That had been part of the plan all along. What had not been part of the plan was spending the last for years without contacting his fiancee. Well, she was his fiancee for one night. The morning after he proposed and she said yes he had left without telling her and now four years have past. Evans writing style is easy to follow, book is well paced and keeps your attention. Mason's character is the only one we see well developed. Sweet love story.

I found this book to boring. The female character was too weak. The male character was a jerk that dumped her for no reason and never gave her an explanation. I guess the author was trying to teach us that everyone deserves a second chance but some people do not deserve a second chance. I just thought she was weak and a doormat. Gtx

Three sisters, each with their own story in three books plus a final Novella.. Quick easy reads but predictable and a little "jumpy" in places... Not a series i will archive but I am not sorry I read all four books.. Short and good for a beach outing or maybe a lazy afternoon...

Mason really knows what he wants and doesn't want to lose it again.

Sometimes you're in the mood for something light and lovely that you don't have to take too seriously. This was that kind of read. I gobbled it up and I'm going back for seconds with book two!

The author doesn't know the pain divorce causes or she would not make remarks about the older sister losing her sense of humour after being divorce five months ago. Catering is a full time job the day of an event. Just putting an apron over a bridesmaid's dress is hardly sufficient. Is she attending the reception after working in the kitchen? It really doesn't show good judgement on her part to attempt to be both bridesmaid and caterer at the same event especially when everything must be perfect.

I read this book as well as listening to the audio version and I must say it made me love this story more. I really felt the emotions of even character more while listening to the narrator. Loved it and now it makes me want to listen to Aria and Nash's story, which I have read already as well.

I was looking forward to the book, after reading a few of the reviews. I have reached the fifth chapter and am tired of the grammatical errors and other mistakes. It would be so nice to be able to read a book that has been proof read or spell checked. I suppose to continue would be a waste of time.

This book was great. It is a full on romance story. I did have to skip over some parts, but not too many. I loved the ending and I am really glad I read this book. It did make me shed a few (more like 20) tears. Great book! :)
