Firefighter Brad Stevenson has been jilted by love and disillusioned by religion, yet thanks to his good friend London Moffat, he can't seem to escape either one. So when the opportunity arises, he accepts a potentially dangerous assignment fighting a wild fire in the remote Bob Marshall Wilderness of northwest Montana. He welcomes the chance to lose himself in the exhausting work, that is, until the fire switches directions, turning a precautionary evacuation into a rescue mission. Brad heads up the mountain to save camp director, Sky Ryder, and her group of five young hikers from the coming flames. As the fire continues to burn out of control they are forced to flee further into the wilderness. Lost in the mountains with a beautiful woman, five teenage girls, and running for his life, Brad is caught between fire and flame.

About the Author

Nothing makes Stephanie happier than snuggling up on the couch in front of a fire on a dark gray, rainy day with a good book. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, she traded in the desert for the clouds of northwest Montana where she loves to hike, ski, swim, and of course, write! She spends her days managing students at an elementary school and her nights managing her busy family of three kids and one husband. Stephanie holds a degree in Biology from the University of Puget Sound but hasn't let that stop her from exploring all kinds of other subjects like sailing, speech and Japanese. If she could travel the world she'd start with the Scottish Highlands and work her way down, delighting in chocolate confections along the way. She dislikes politics and can't juggle, but loves history and can bake just about anything. Some may call her "well-rounded" but she prefers "eclectic." Stephanie loves hearing from her readers.
