LOVED this book! Not your typical rocker romance, which made it even better. This one had H and h in their 40s and they had kids, instead of teens and 20s. Thank you, Vanessa! I had a hard time closing this book, trying to read it through a migraine, I was so vested. The connections between band members was more like family. I enjoyed Genna's relationship with her kids and friends, too. The connection Genna and Connor have is immediate and deep. It was a fun ride. The mystery part of this novel was interesting. I have no complaints regarding this book, other than being sad it is over. I'm hoping it turns into a series, so fingers crossed! ARC provided in exchange for honest review.
Vanessa Lennox surprised me with Between Rock n Roll and a Hard Place. She gave me two well established adults dealing with the realities of life … death and divorce. A chance meeting at a hotel kicks off a beautiful friendship and an attraction to each other. Where this will go, I don't think either really knew since both were still dealing with past hurts and trying to find their next step or better yet, hiding from it. Genna has always been a fan of Connor's music so getting to meet him and then spend time with him is surreal to her. I loved the conversations that Genna and Connor had, they talked about real life things which made me feel like I could know this people in my daily life. There chemistry is sizzling and Vanessa doesn't disappoint with the love scenes. The supporting cast is incredibly strong and diverse and lends a lot to the story along with the mystery surrounding someone following Genna. Really excited that I got to read this story.
