Between the pages and the stories told: narrative poetry
Most people know me as a storyteller. I've always been the type of person who loves to tell stories with a big imagination, even as a small blonde-head kid living out in the country, surrounded by countless trees and non-top gravel roads. I've always had a story to tell. I even told stories to the cats and dogs. I discovered poetry back in the winter of 2010. When I first started, I didn't really know what I was doing or understand it, so I took a long break from it and started back in 2021. When I recognized the use of words from my own life experiences and what the meanings were I was hooked right away. I found a new way to tell my stories in a narrative way. I had too much fun with all the choices of words I could find and use them. It's also interesting and unique to tell a story with a twist that I chose to write about.
