Between Us (Renegade Saints, #3) by Ella Fox

His lifestyle.  His rules.

Is she willing to risk her heart to play his game?

Guitarist Cole Hayes learned early that falling in love is the easiest way to lose.  Determined never to go down that road, he sealed his heart off, numbing himself with erotic and sensual pleasures--with men and women alike. The rules were simple:  group sex only and never one-on-one.

It’s all so simple until he meets Devon Bannister, the beautiful director shooting the documentary on his band.  Suddenly, she's all he can think about. Neither can deny the attraction and desire between them.

Although Devon is open to exploring Cole's lifestyle, for the first time in his life, he finds himself reluctant to share.

How can he own all of her, if he's only willing to give half of himself?

Loved this one about Cole. Makes you think about what goes on in your children's minds when things go crazy at home in the worst of times. How they can see things differently then what's really going on . People can be screwed up for life. Hot and sexy read.

Didn't want to put it down. No cliffhangers. Sexy hot!

This is the confusing series I have ever read. It is almost like one book that got chopped up into different books. Plus, if you didnt read the Hart series (and I didnt) its confusing as hell. The timeline is off in each book so mention of other characters is out of context. Wont be looking for other books by this author if she is still with this publisher. It was their job to make sure the series is cohesive.

Cole and Devon have instant chemistry. Cole has never felt comfortable in a one-on-one relationship so he always tries to find another male to get into the action. Devon and Cole are both attracted to Ian and Cole thinks that is the answer to his dilemma for how Devon makes him feel. Devon begins to see that Cole is no longer interested in Ian, but thinks he needs him somehow. Devon keeps a lot of things inside that I found hard to believe. It went against common sense for her to allow Cole to include her in a text without asking her if she was okay with it. She also thinks she needs to bide her time in order to get Cole to come around to admitting he likes her. Cole was wrong for perpetuating Ian as being a possible interest and should have just manned up and said what he was looking for and why. Neither one of them did such a great job of communicating with the other and it got a bit old after a while. Did like how Cole's band members and his extended family stepped up to help him get his head on straight. Also liked how he acknowledged his mistakes. Wanted Devon to own her feelings more and not just go with the flow the way she did. Overall a decent read but not my favorite in this series.

I was anxiously awaiting Cole’s story after reading the first two Renegade Saints books. The hints that were dropped had me expecting an amazing story. And I did enjoy it but it felt anti-climactic for me. I was expecting a little more angst but instead it was a very easy read for me. I felt that Cole’s issues were solved a little too easily. But that’s just my opinion. Cole is definitely sexy and he has a huge heart with a lot of love to give, even if he’s terrified of giving it. There was some character development in the book, but it was a small amount. When alluded to in the previous books, Cole’s abhorrence of a one on one relationship seemed bigger than it did in this book. I thought they were more deep seated then they were. I loved the side characters, in particular Devon’s roommate Lana. I want more of her, she was hilarious! Despite my disappointment in there not being more drama in the book, I did enjoy it. I just really wish that there had been a poly-amorous relationship, I like that kind of spice and it would have kept the book seeming too much like others. But others may (and have) feel differently. With the little hints dropped about Tyson, I can’t wait for his book. There’s definitely a story there.

"We make choices in life, each one of us. Choose love-always." Well-written, moving story. The prologue was fantastically written and tugged at my heart. From early in his life, Cole decided love wasn't for him. His requirement in a relationship, 3 people at all times. What happens though when lightening strikes and he is hit with such a force, he can't quite wrap his head around. The dynamic between Cole, Devon, and Ian is an interesting one and I loved how it was written. The chemistry between Cole and Devon was off-the-charts in Ms. Fox's writing. I loved how the two were so comfortable with each other, talking about whatever. They slipped into an easy friendship. My favorite part of the book though was the conversation between Pop and Cole. I could almost hear in my mind Pop saying everything to Cole. There were two things I did not like, I felt that things were left out or glossed over based on what I read in the previous book. I would have liked to see things from this point of view. I also felt left down by the epilogue. I was hoping for a little more. Overall I would recommend this title and the series and look forward to reading Ty's story.

Actual Rating: 4.5 Stars It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Ella Fox. She never fails to give me a story that packs the most intense heat, the perfect build, and that gives me characters that are so beyond easy to fall for. Each and every one of her stories have this intensity to this, this emotional and visceral pull that lures you in heart first, and that has you practically melting and falling even more on every page. Her stories are exciting, so well-paced, and they pack the best kind of punch in more ways than one. Between Us had all that I’ve come to love and appreciate about her outstanding writing, and it gave me a story I have been wanting and needing for so long. This book was consuming, it was so easy to sink right into, and it put me back with some of the most memorable characters I have ever read. From the first page of this book, I was completely enraptured with Cole and Devon as they tried to figure out how they could be together. Ella Fox completely connected me to both of these characters in this book. She let me experience every event with them, and she let me understand exactly why he was so hesitant, and why she wanted him to give in so desperately. Every page of this book gave me more of them to love and care and fight for, and the further I read, the further I fell for everything those two were sharing. It was equal parts heated and emotional and real, and I loved every bit of it. A huge part of the story focuses on Cole’s journey to figuring out what it is he wants and needs, and how Devon could just be the one who changes everything. Along with Cole, Devon goes on a journey of discovering what it is her and Cole could share, if she allows herself to give into it, and if she’s able to help Cole figure out what he wants for the two of them. Both of these characters are giving into something new and seeing what that something new could bring them, and through every page of this book you become more invested in them finding and accepting that something new. Ella Fox hooks you into every bit of what Cole and Devon share together, every fear and worry they have, and every ounce of feeling they share with each other, and that will have you loving them both so much as they see what they could really have together. Between Us is a story about what happens when you meet that one person who can change everything. It’s about what happens when you meet someone who makes you second guess everything you think you know about yourself, and everything you thought you wanted. It’s about what happens when that person gives you hope, makes you look twice at those fears and doubts you’ve always had, and how that one person might just be exactly what you need. This book is about taking chances, feeling it all, and experiencing the mesmerizing and heart melting things that can happen with that right person, as long as you let yourself actually have it. Cole and Devon’s story in this book had the best level of heat, build, tension, and emotion, and it gave me so much of them to love. The more I experienced this book with them, the more I hoped with all that I had that they would be able to figure it all out. Ella Fox brought their story to life in a way that felt right, felt so good to read, and felt completely fulfilling. I can’t wait to read more of this series, and to get more of Ella’s phenomenal writing. I truly can’t get enough of this book, and everything I read in Between Us proved that over and over again!

A beautifully written complicated love story Devon Bannister has just landed her big break. She will be shooting a documentary of the Renegade Saints' farewell tour. Is it such a bad thing to be in serious lust with a member of the band she's working for? Cole Hayes has rules, rules that have served him well in the past. But to what end? He is more than attracted to the beautiful filmmaker but he can't let himself be open to the kind of pain he witnessed firsthand. This is the third book in the series. With every book I read of this series, I love them more. Cole and Devon were both introduced in the first book and the other characters make an appearance in this one, I love how Devon is a self-assured and open-minded woman. I love that Cole is a down-to-earth rock star. They each have their own issues but they don't let them keep them from growing as people. The story line follows much the same path as the other books but follows these two specifically. This one also provides a little more insight of what happened to the Renegade Saints thru Cole's eyes. I applaud the author's courage in taking on a complicated love story and I was captivated by how she weaved the story thru an already established timeline. I am really looking forward to the next story in this series.

I loved this book. I was given a copy as an ARC for an honest review. I have been waiting to read Cole's story since we meet him in the first book. He is a completed man who doesn't believe love should be just between 2 people as yo have more of a chance to get hurt so he always has 3 people in a relationship. This time he has his sights on 2 people Ian the guy of is writing the Renegades book and Devon the girl who is doing the video of the good-bye tour of the band. the attraction is intent between all three but Ian is shy and wants to take his time with what is going on but something changes with in Cole and he wants to start just spending time with Devon , so they start spending more and more time together. What I liked about this book is how Cole had to come and realize on his own that loving one person is not so bad and what was great was Devon let him take him time and find out what he needed. This was a great book. the sex scenes were very hot and I liked the 2 main charterers in the book. We get one more book form Ms. Fox for Ty and I really can't wait to read his story.
