Sixteen-year-old Hannah Fitzgerald has always known she is descended from a troubled legacy of dark magic. Although a stranger to her coven in Annapolis, she is no stranger to grief and denial. However, when an ancient prophecy reveals the rise of a young, powerful witch and the impending death of another, she realizes she can no longer afford to suppress the magic that has taken away so much. She seeks out the frighteningly scarred, yet mysterious W who is destined to change her life, but even he cannot prepare her for the danger that lies ahead.
Engaged in a deadly game and not knowing whom her true rival is, Hannah isn’t certain she will survive, and if she loses, she may lose everything, including the ones she loves.

Potions and palindromes; grey witches and Inca warriors; love and courage – there is so much to delight the reader in this novel. It has appeal for both the adult reader and the young adult reader and for those who know Annapolis, has the added treat of being set right in this lovely, historic town. The characters are engaging. I ended the final chapter wanting to know more about Hannah and her friends and what their future might hold – hoping for a sequel!
Five stars for Bewitching Hannah. Love that it takes place in Annapolis. Love the cast of characters and the Beauty & the Beast theme that runs throughout the story. Lots of twists, especially at the end. Great read!
A bewitching twist on Beauty & the Beast--highly recommend it. The book was for my book club, and I couldn't stop reading it once I started. The writing was excellent, the pace exhilarating, the magic unique. Looking forward to the author's next book.
