About the Author
Beryl Bender Birch is the bestselling author of Power Yoga and the Director of The Hard & The Soft Astanga Yoga Institute (since 1981). She is also the Wellness Director and Yoga Teacher-in-Residence of the New York Road Runners Club. She is one of the most highly regarded and well-known yoga teachers in the United States.

Well thought out book about the ancient practive of Ashtanga Yoga. It give all the basic fundamentals and alond with David Swenson provide the reader with exact information on Ashtanga, but understands the need for Ashtange to be included as a part of our everyday life. Thhe book is a must have for anyone that practices this demanding, challenging yet invigorating style of yoga NAMASTE!
