Paige knows evil exists in this world, but she never imagined it would want something from her.

In the small town of Astoria, Oregon, surrounded by deep forest and endless mountains, another world thrives . . . a menacing one where dark spirits dwell in soulless humans. Seventeen-year-old Paige Reed lives in this lush, picturesque setting. She’s not your average teen, though she appears to be. Not only is she heartsick, but she’s been receiving cryptic premonitions from a ghostly voice since the age of four. After she hears a haunting message about herself, supernatural occurrences begin to confuse her.

When two power-hungry malevolent beings make demands on her, she realizes then the fate of mankind rest in her hands. Her world quickly turns inside out where the impossible becomes possible, and in the end she’s faced with a life changing decision that will not only alter her existence but the world as she knows it.

Can a deeply troubled teen overcome her own demons in order to fight those lurking about? With the past and present colliding, Paige must make the ultimate mortal choice. Will it be the right one?

About the Author

Rebekkah Ford is an award-winning author who writes paranormal fantasy fiction. She believes her fascination with the unknown derives from her childhood. When her parents were married, they were the directors of the UFO Investigator’s League. They also investigated ghost hauntings and Bigfoot sightings in addition to extraterrestrial cases. Rebekkah’s upbringing, knowledge, and experiences with the paranormal world, along with her colorful imagination, aids her in creating her stories. Rebekkah has an irreverent sense of humor, is known to annoy her beloved cat, Church, by singing opera to him (Rebekkah is tone deaf, btw), and she believes having a dirty mind makes boring conversations more interesting. This review was first published on Kurt's Frontier. Synopsis: Paige lives in the small town of Astoria, Oregon. In a land surrounded by deep forests and mountains, another world exists: a world of dark spirits. Paige is not a normal seventeen-year-old. She has been receiving premonitions since she was four. Then she meets Nathan. Her heart starts to race, and she feels an attraction to him. He is not mortal. He tracks dark spirits, and these dark spirits have set their sights on Paige. She is the key to their power. She must choose between her mortal life and immortality. Each choice has consequences. Review: Beyond the Eyes is a paranormal romance written by Rebekkah Ford. Paige is a girl growing up in the mountains of Oregon. She is already having paranormal experiences when she meets Nathan at a night club. That’s when the paranormal world that exists along side her normal one comes crashing into her life. She finds dark spirits are interested in her because they think she can find the legendary Ring of Solomon. This is an artifact that can give the wearer control of dark spirits. Her father was looking for it, and the dark spirits killed him. Nathan is an immortal who is attracted to Paige and has sworn to protect her. The story has an interesting premise of what happens when you are offered immortality. However, the action is bogged down in unnecessary detail, slowing the action of the story. The romantic interest between Paige and Nathan was somewhat cliché. It seems to be a variant on the Twilight theme. On the other hand, the characters were likable, and there is just enough mystery at the end to make me curious as to what happens next.

I read first couple of pages didnt care for the tone and some choice words. Others maynot find it offensive but I do. True never gave gave the story itself a chance...draw line somewhere

This book is wonderful, taut tale of a young girl on the edge of fading from young womanhood into an adult when she makes a discovery about herself that turns her world upside down. The story weaved it's way into my heart and the story of Paige (the main character) kept me reading. I had a hard time putting this book down each night as I wanted to know what was going to happen next. This book is well worth the time. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a well written taut story of self discovery with a splash of romance not to mention a dash of paranormal excitement.

Sadly, I had held off reading Beyond the Eyes for several weeks now. I figured it would be just another ghost story. I have read so many that I have grown bored with them. But Rebekkah Ford proved me wrong. What I found within the pages of this book was an easy read with characters I wished were in my life. And after viewing images of the men, I definitely wished they were in my life. ¿  So MAYBE Beyond the Eyes is a young adult read, but does that mean you shouldn’t read it, DEFINITELY NOT. For certain, this book is one to read, and now I am off to buy book 2.

So the book was honestly good, not overly great and spectacular but good. There were a few spelling errors but my real problem was this. So the guy Anwar from Africa and I get that but why in the world was he saying "dis" and "dat" (Quite literally)? I mean I just kinda found it slightly offensive because say he really did talk like that, but hes been alive for 600 something years so why does he still talk like that? You would think after living that long that your english would get better. And another thing is that no one else talked like thst in the whole book, out of all the characters, except the black guy from Africa. Lol I mean it seemed a little off to me but I could just be making a big deal of nothing. The relationship between Nathan and Trees "little fairy" was ok too. I think that they fell in love a bit to fast though, even though they were what seemed to be soul mates. There was no resistance or anything and she was a virgin but she was the first one who openly talked about wanting sex first and wasnt nervous so that was kinda weird for the fact that she was a virgin. She seemed to cry a lot to me, more-so about her father who had been dead for the longest time th her mom. I havent lost my parents yet but you would think that she would've been crying more about her just-in-a-car-accident-and-instantly-killed-mom. I don't know, I could be wrong about that though. The ending was sort of slow. It was like as the book got closer to the end it became a slower read from all the information. It was a honestly good book but there were just a few problems that I felt I had to adress for the people lol and to justify (Which mes explain if you didnt know because surprisingly people really don't know what that means even some adults and Im a kid who knows so yeah) . That was all my complaints I think. There was a lot, I know so sorry and sorry for any spelling errors or misspellings in my review. So this message has been approved by Larri Jackson. Its not Larry!! :-P

As i walk through the streets on an eerie night, i here footsteps behind me. I stay silent and dont turn around, in fear they would harm me or worse-talk to me.i was a mute and if i couldnt answer questions on time, people would beat me till im numb. So i carried on walking. They kept following me so i sped up my speed in walking. They did too. Eventually i gave in and turned around. They stopped and i froze. They wasnt even a they. No, i would call it fear. It graabed me by the throat and handed me a shredded hourglass into my palm. The flesh broke and my blood turned to red sand as the hourglass was forming back to normal the more the sand appeared. It whispered,"Your time is in my hands now. You should've just kept quiet and run home."
