Toxey Honn is released from territorial prison to return to his ranch in Big Bend. He brings two young friends with him and finds the ranch destroyed by unknown assailants. Toxey believes the crooked sheriff in Big Bend, Troy Justice, has had a hand in the destruction. For some reason Justice wants the title to Toxey's ranch and property. The battle to learn why the suspicious murder of people surrounding the sheriff and friends of Toxey, all lead to the story of fabled gold somewhere in the Bighorn Mountains behind the ranch.
