Bento, or I think Kawamari, is the Japanese art of creating a product that is very useful and useless at the same time. To say more will detain you from the pleasures of this book. A strange classic?
How can I rate this book? It contains inventions that are incredibly silly, wacky and clever. It is a very quick read, it can be done as a flip, yet it will be guanrenteed to make you smile at least once, and probably laugh out loud. This is a great coffee table book and a great gift as well!
Although a few of these inventions might actually be useful, most qualify as truly useless inventions. The more useless they are the funnier. Great for sitting around with friends and family and laughing out loud.
Okay, I was standing in line for starbucks after getting a book for school and I happened to lean over and look at the rack of books and seen this, it looked cute and while standing in line I was going through it and was laughing to myself, its soo funny and crazy! You think what a great idea but this design isn't! lol I couldn't put it down and just had to buy it, after I re-read it multiple times I misplaced it, I re-bought it atleast 3 times, its that good. It was alot of funny inventions. I remeber there were boots for your cat, there were mops on the bottom so it would sweep as it walked lol, a pillow in the shape of a women's knees, a full body umbrella etc.. Its so funny and entertaining, you'll love reading this over and over and over...These inventions are useful, but at the same time too outrageous to be used, making them useless! Haha!DEF. go into b&n, get yourself a starbucks drink and sit down and read this, you won't be able to put it down, you will want to take it home!
