One small step for women, one GIANT LEAP for southern girl's around the South US! JUST what the docter ordered. Cannot wait for part three. Red, Mary Lou, Emerson and the fellow small towners are relatible, lovable and charming (as us southern women tend to be) Great Chick lit Read!

I really liked this book and can't wait to read the next in this series. I want to know what else happens between Red and Mason. I also want to see if Mary Lou and Monroe end up together.

Cute, Funny, Entertaining NA Favorite Quotes: “I close my eyes tight, scrunching them together like I always did when I was five.  If the bogeyman can’t see you with your eyes closed, surely, a bear can’t either.  There has to be logic there.” “He hasn’t kissed me, all the boy has done is touch me, and I’m embarrassingly breathless.” “I stare at him in complete shock as he practically races away from me to the safety of his truck.  That didn’t just happen.  I can’t be that bad at this, can I?” “Around here, church is like a bath.  You go in whether you want to or not.” My Review: If you are ever in need of something fun and quick, keep this story in mind.  I was smiling most of the way through this amusing and entertaining little tale.  Coming from a small inbred community myself, this story hit close to home… like she could have been living next door.  I knew some of these characters and wished I had known others, they sound like good fun.  I will be watching this author for future adventures.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian I Dig Good Books. *I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.* This was a fun, witty, refreshing read! The characters are young and going through what I'd like to call the "growing up" stage after high school. That means they are responsible but still make irresponsible choices, make mistakes, and are still relatively carefree. That being said, if you are at a point in your adult life and feel like you just need a break and need to get away, I think this would be a great series for you to read! The way that this book was new and interesting to me. I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it. It's written in the present, then is written as a flash back, then the present, etc. This is the first book I've read like it, and it took me a little bit to get used to it. However, I think I've come to the conclusion that I enjoyed the writing style. It works well with the story and how the author wrote it! Details and description were well written. There was enough information to understand what was going on and to allow you to be able to visualize the scenes. I think it was "lacking" just enough detail to allow each reader to make the characters "their own." I LOVE when authors do this. It allows us as readers to make the characters in our own vision without have to create them in our mind from scratch. This was a huge bonus for me as I was reading. This author is a fan of cliff hangers, just a warning to those that aren't such a fan of them. I suggest you get all the books before you start reading them, that way you can just keep reading! I was lucky enough to be gifted all of the books so I could just keep going! This was a great read and a great get-a-way! I definitely suggest to grab this book and the rest in this series to read!
