Evelyn Lee Emerson may be my new hero. All she needs is a cape to achieve full-blown superhero status. LOL. I loved this book! Evelyn, as the main character and narrator, is from a wealthy, influential, Cincinnati family that prides themselves on their good reputation. She has a large family with lots of siblings and daily close interaction. All of the siblings are successful in their chosen fields which is mostly law and finance but Evelyn owns a travel agency. The more I read in the book I wondered if Evelyn's choice of career was symbolic of wanting to be different or somehow apart from her family. With so much going on, it would be hard to blame her.  The story starts out with Evelyn and her sisters planning a week long trip to a chalet in Gatlinburg, TN for skiing, shopping, relaxation, etc. What starts out as a fun-filled, relaxing week goes quickly the other way when one of Evelyn's sisters reveals she believes her husband is having an affair. What ensues after this revelation demonstrates just how crazy a woman scorned can become. I am not going to ruin the story but everything that can go wrong, goes wrong. And no matter what happens, Evelyn's sisters are looking to her to save them. Evelyn repeatedly comes up with one crazy plan after the other but it all works out in the end. I was laughing out loud throughout this book at the sisters' shenanigans. It is one of the most entertaining stories I have read in a long time. I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series so I can see what these women are gonna do next! Loved it!!!

This was a really great book, I enjoyed it so much. The book is about a close knit family of very intelligent, educated, rich women who go  on a winter vacation trip. Because of running into a cheating spouse they end up doing things they never could have imagined doing. It is because of the love they have for one another that truly makes this book a winner. I true laugh out loud, fun book. I am definitely looking  to the next book.

I truly enjoyed this book. I felt that the beginning was really good at building the family dynamics and the closeness of the family. There were a lot of characters but the author was able to clearly define each characters personality and they were truly different. The story sets us up for a ladies fun ski week but soon after arrival they have a little fun but quickly run into trouble. I wasn't expecting all that happened and I was pleasantly surprised and entertained at the same time. Evelyn, the star of the book is truly a woman not to be messed with when her family is in trouble. She does not willingly accept her role to be in charge of what one of her sisters has started but once she does. Get out of Evelyn's way, there is nothing she won't do for her beloved sisters. A great read.
