I loved and enjoyed reading the humorous and outstanding sequel to the series by the incredibly talented Molly Harper. Ophelia is sent to live in a dorm for all of her misdeeds and the only silver lining is her blood mate, Jamie. Ophelia has a difficult time getting along with both the vampires and humans especially her roommate who continues to use and abuse Ophelia's things. Also, a cute vampire is flirting with her while her boyfriend has less and less time for her. Ophelia has to resist the temptation and make friends or find her self in custody of the council never to see Jamie again. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written story in the Half-Moon Hollow series. Can't wait to read the next sequel!

Loved it! Nailed it,... but you left me with 3 questions. What happened to ben? Who sired Meagan? Is there going to be series for both Ophelia and her friend? Ps. Who needed those contact if Jane didn't request for them?? How peculiar?... So many questions not enough pages. It was a pleasure reading another book. The series of events and characters dilemmas always have enthralled.

OMG, I think I just fell into "like" with Ophelia.. Never thought that would happen. Hope to see more of this side of her in the future. And the excerpt of the next book was great and I can't wait till it comes out.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 5 YAY!!!!!! Finally we get to see what makes Ophelia tick. And let me tell you it is very scary and involves duct tape. I don’t want to give you too much. But this short Half-Moon Hollow story follows the on and only Ophelia and Jamie to college. There is a lot of growing up, human interaction, parties, tears and yes duct tape. It just amazes me that everytime I pick up one of Molly’s books I fall more in love with her writing, the worlds she creates and her characters. I am always left wanting more. MORE, I tell you!!! And of course I had to have the uber talented Amanda Ronconi read this book to me (just as she has all the other books). I love that Amanda has lent her amazing talent to Molly’s books. Again, Amanda did an amazing job narrating. I so can’t wait for the next installment in this series. Disclaimer: I purchased this book from Audible.com and this review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

: BIG VAMP ON CAMPUS by Molly Harper follows four hundred year old vampire Ophelia Lambert as she is serving out her sentence, for inappropriate expense reports, as a student of higher learning. Our heroine has been removed from her position with the ‘World Council for the Equal Treatment of the Undead’, and has been forced to attend the University of Kentucky as a co-ed student with both the living and the undead. Told from first person point of view (Ophelia) BIG VAMP ON CAMPUS looks at student life for a vampire used to big expense accounts and fancy rooms. Ophelia must learn to economize, make friends, and endure the idiocy and disrespect of her roommate Brianna-a recently turned vampire/wannabe Goth princess who makes Ophelia’s life a living hell. Ophelia’s one saving grace is the knowledge that her boyfriend Jamie also attends the University of Kentucky but Jamie’s presence is few and far between. When Ophelia is forced to work with Brianna on a special project, Brianna suddenly goes missing and no one is the wiser. Molly Harper’s BIG VAMP ON CAMPUS is a quick read; a fast paced novella that pulls the reader into the mind of a four hundred year old vampire adding a little bit of humor and fun while revisiting with two characters who have played secondary and supporting roles throughout the series. Harper allows for some background information about Jamie; and reveals the incidents leading to Ophelia’s sentencing so as not to leave the reader lost or confused. My only complaint is the cover which would lead the reader to presume that the story line focused more so on Jamie but herein lies the confusion-BIG VAMP ON CAMPUS is Ophelia’s story and Jamie plays a very small role throughout. Jane Jameson’s presence is noted through emails and texts. There are a couple of ‘open-ended’ scenarios that will hopefully be addressed in a future story line or in the installment THE ACCIDENTAL SIRE due out in 2017.

This one is for the fans. This is a short peak into the mind of a 400 year old vampire, Ophelia, who has been removed from her position of authority and is being forced to attend college with *gasp* humans. The only upside she can see is that she will be closer to her young beau, recently turned vampire Jamie. As with the rest of the books in this series there are plenty of laughs and yes an opossum. The supporting cast in this story is fun and I’d love to see more of them in the future.
