Ever since Darwin released his theories on species and evolution, the general public ended their beleifs in spiritualism and looked for answers in our genes. Dr. Bruce Lipton clearly explains how the answers are not all in our genes, but within our perceptions of the envirnment. He is an excelent teacher who does nothing other than 'make you want to learn' about the new biology.

This information is powerful and the book is pure delight to read! In a clear, easy-to-follow and elegant way, Dr. Bruce Lipton explains the new field of biology that is unraveling the mysteries of how our perceptions of our environment influence the behavior of our cells. The book explodes the myth that our genes are beyond our control. When we recognize how positive and negative beliefs control our biology we can use this knowledge to create lives filled with health and happiness. This is the science book everyone should have who wants a good foundation for understanding how the cells of our body are affected by our thoughts and perceptions. I was blown away by the fact that `genes cannot turn themselves on or off¿ and that `something in the environment has to trigger gene activity.¿ I especially enjoyed the chapter on the origins of self-sabotaging subconscious programming and his supportive evidence that we can rewrite our old, outdated programs with ones that we choose ourselves. I loved this book and highly recommend it in the workshops and classes I teach, as it is a perfect complement to my work. He even states, `In the end, these cellular insights serve to emphasize the wisdom of spiritual teachers throughout the ages.¿ Dr. Bruce Lipton helps us gain insights that better equip us to take charge of our lives.

Bruce Lipton's extraordinary book THE BIOLOGY OF BELIEF is destined to revolutionize the way we think about the effects our thoughts have on our bodies at the cellular level. Lipton writes with enthusiasm, warmth and passion about the role of the environment in regulating gene activity, with the authority of having had decades of published scientific papers which pre-date the official start of the brand new scientific field of epigenetics. Not only do our thoughts directly influence our health and well-being, but we are probably unable to heal or succeed without them. Lipton states, 'The placebo effect should be the subject of major, funded research efforts. If medical researchers could figure out how to leverage the placebo effect, they would hand doctors an efficient, energy- based, side effect-free tool to treat disease.' THE BIOLOGY OF BELIEF really shines when describing the relevance of cutting-edge scientific findings to our daily lives. Lipton writes with such sparkling, down-to-Earth words that it's a real pleasure to take them fully and deeply to heart. And when we do, we can feel glad that the world will no longer be the same.

Dr. Bruce Lipton has left no loopholes in describing what we now know about the brain and the mind/body connection as a result of both Quantum physics and the unexpected outcomes of the human genome project...which has set the pharmaceutical industry back at least ten years. He delivers the facts and hard science which create a strategic imperative for a shift from old paradigm Newtonian based research to an entirely new paradigm based on quantum mechanics and epigenetics. This book is a courageous and eloquent dissertation on what is soon to be recognized as classic leading indicator on the future of Research & Development in the pharmaceutical industry...in order to survive and thrive in the years to come but most importantly deliver the highest value to their patients. This is a 'must read' for anyone working in the Pharmaceutical Industry in order to undrstand what the future calls for given the new science of epigenetics. This is also a must read for anyone who desires to be in control of their own life experience. Genes do not dictate biology...it is our response to environmental events or signals based upon our programmed belief system that create our life experiences. We now have a proven scientific and quantifiably measurable modality to change limiting, self sabotaging subconsious 'programs' into empowering and affirming subconscious programs in order to achieve our goals and visions for our ideal life experience. Like the human cell which responds to the environmental signals, we too respond to environmental signals in our world in accordance to our already established belief system. By changing our subconscious beliefs we have the power and the responsibility to create our desired experience in life. The ramifications for personal and professional development are so pervasive and scientificallyl validated that we cannot ignore this new information. Nor can the Pharmaceutical Industry ignore the strategic imperative to create a new paradigm leveraging this new information in order to provide the best health care with the fewest side effects, and highest profitability for all stakeholders. It remains to be seen which of the pharmaceutical giants will step up to the plate and lead the way as a trailblazer embracing and putting into pracictice the 'new science' and the increased viability and value that will flow through to all stakehoders...most importantly the patients or end users of their products/ prescriptions. I invite questions and comments and I challenge one of the big Pharma companies to step up to the plate and lead the pack into the future creating greater health and healthcare! I aplaud Dr. Bruce Lipton for his courageous publication, proclomation of truth, which we all 'know' but has not yet been fully acknowledged or embraced. I also thank Dr. Lipton for his acknowledment of PSYCH-K(tm) and PER-K(tm)as cutting edge modalities/ professional development programs for both individual and corporate peak performance, self actualization, and bottom line profitabiity (Return on investment of human capital). Most sincerely, Dr. Allison Ashley C.E.O and President Veracity International, Inc.

I remember reading some years ago a book by Dr. Candace Pert - The Molecules of Emotion. This book by Dr. Bruce Lipton has taken a major step forward in changing, no creating a revolution into how thoughts control out bodies and even our cells. Most important for the average person - it's really easy to understand. Heck, he makes it funny and tells some good stories in which to develop a stronger understanding of this new science of Epigenetics.

Bruce H. Lipton Ph. D. successfully cloned stem cells. In doing it, he discovered that the mechanics of human cells (that together create the body you live in) are run by the same science that runs your CELL phone. Connect the two. A HUMAN BODY IS A CELL PHONE. You use it mostly on autopilot, preprogrammed with DNA and your young experiences. And, you're not just using your body to eat, breathe, and have sex, you're butt dialing, too. Want to know what you're calling into your life? Want to know how to program in what you really want to call? FINALLY, I have a book written by a cell biologist (and brilliant medical school professor) that I can give to my computer software engineer son and he'll understand me.... You see, I am thrilled with Lipton's medical discoveries because they explain to me what I wrote in Indigo's Fall. I am a mystical artist and a science fiction screenwriter! What do I really know except how to use my imagination? Yet, in 2010, I was inspired to write Indigo's Fall, a very short, inspirational story, a conversation between GOD and a fallen angel. A work of blatant FICTION! Yet, Lipton's book just explained to me why I wrote it the way I did; why I painted the pictures that illustrate it; and that what I wrote is a metaphor for scientific fact. Wow! December 2012 is close and I do believe we are finally waking up in a world where peace, health, and harmony are possible for everyone. Want to believe in that? Lipton's book is a fairly easy read. And I think you will be amazed at your ability to understand quantum physics. If you want to know how to apply that science to improve your life, my book is a very easy read:) But, please read Lipton's first, and if you only want to read his, that's just fine with me. We are at opposite poles in the writing business. His book is NON FICTION. His book is BIOLOGICAL FACT. My book is entertainment, and spiritual inspiration—unless you read his book first. As a matter of fact, after writing this review, I now believe I found his book because I made a call.

I bought this book and read it a few years ago, and have bought several copies since to give to friends and clients. This one was for a client. It is an amazing book that will open your eyes to thinking a different way--and how we make all the difference with our beliefs. It is not a particularly easy read, but it's not difficult, and well worth the time. I follow Dr. Lipton now as a result.

Everyone needs the information in this book. It can and should change your life with an understanding of the cellular environment you're creating in your body. Dr. Lipton has a gift for using analogies and breaking down complex biology into terms that are easy to grasp and remember. It will enlighten both professionals and lay persons. I first listened to the audio book and then bought the paperback because I wanted to have it as a reference and for my loaner library. I highly recommend this book.

I really had a problem taking this author seriously after the Prologue and the Introduction. I would like to explore more Ecogenics.
