Advantage Compact and quick reference material. Gets to the point of some difficult areas in biology. I'm hoping that my resource kids will find it helpful as our state complies with 'No Student Left Behind'. Needs work in following area: Five Kingdoms are stated, when most of us are using 6 Kingdoms having split the Monera into to separate Kingdoms. I have not found any other problems as yet. Must be careful not to give the student the idea that this is all they need t

I was told that the download would be within a few minutes by a sales associate when I called after having trouble. Then I was given a date of 5 days later online when it would be available, unacceptable!!. After numerous conversations with BN associates and the 800 #,help line it was mysteriously downloaded a few hrs. later?! Total frustration!! To begin with, when my son called BN to ask if it was available in the store he was told it was not in stock. I then asked my son if he asked the sales associate when it would be, he said no. So I called and asked, I found out THEN that it could only be downloaded and was not available in the store anymore and had to be downloaded!! Overall I was very disappointed with our whole experience in buying Spark notes and BN!! The product is great however, again, the buying experience stunk!

I purchased these for my daughter to use to study for her Freshman Advanced Biology Class. The cards looked like someone had dropped them on the floor, then scooped them up and shoved them in the box in random order. I had to start by organizing and alphabetizing them. Then I started looking for words that she needed to study for her semester final and found less than half of the words she needed. It would have been quicker and cheaper just to help her make index cards. I looked on the box and their website for a way to send a message to customer service but no luck.

This guide really lacks some essential key components that are the fundemental building blocks to biology- like the essentail elements- it would be nice to be able to reference the periodic table, and more info on the combining of atoms, molecules, ect...
