About the Author

Jackie Garvin retired to focus on cooking, eating, digging in the dirt, and writing about it after a successful career as a registered nurse, corporate executive, and entrepreneur. In 2011, she created her Southern food blog, Syrup and Biscuits, to chronicle wonderful food memories before they were forgotten. Can't put even one recipe into the sample. Long winded on why she like buscuits. If you have to spend that many pages wasting space you got nothing. You haven't even decided if you're a cook or writer. Sorry not even for a buck 99

So i only read the sample, however i actually enjoyed it. Just as with The Pioneer Woman, I feel like the author was letting us into her life and family and it makes me want to know more about them and their recipes.
