Owen is a hunter and a human or is he? One night in the club he sets his sights on Cait. Well he may wish he had not set his sight on her as Cait is a Hellcat. Owen is more than intrigued and something is pulling him to her. Cait needs help as she is being targeted by a male hellcat but Cait has no wish to become his mate.  Cait is just as dominating as Owen so these two on the prowl together makes for some fun times until  Owen figures out that Cait is much more than just a client needing his help. Will Cait give up some of her dominance to Owen?  And will Owen let her know what he really is? I really enjoyed this book. The steam factor between Owen and Cait is fantastic. Very well written and I would recommend it. I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review.

Reviewed by Angela and posted at Under The Covers Book Blog Cait is a rare breed of cat shifters and would sell high in the black market of hell. Hence, her desperation to hire Owen Nightingale to solve her problems. Owen is a well-known mercenary with a rare gift, no one knew about. He is famous for what he does and with the undeniable attraction between them; Owen will take the job. The fight for freedom and the race to save their lives will bring them closer to love, lust and trust for each other…a foreign concept to them both. I was a little torn about liking Cait and Owen. Yes, I liked them separately and most definitely enjoyed the back story. Cait is a strong woman and is a survivor, and she can pretty much kick ass. Owen was the same, and his hidden talent surprised me. As a couple, they had a bit of insta-love in the beginning of the book. It was a slow start for me but Heaton pulled it off and made their “love” more believable about half way through the book. Which, at this point, the back story kicks off to a more nail-biting suspense and action scenes. Heaton threw in some characters from previous books (I love this part of her books) and a few new ones that possibly will have stories of their own. I won’t mention who and what they are at this point but if you follow Felicity Heaton books, this will be a plus for you…even if we just get a peak. Next up is Taken by a Dragon. *ARC provided by author

Amazing fresh view read After reading this story I have decided that if I were a shifter I would be a rare hellcat like Cait. The author gives a beautiful description of how a hellcat shifts and what she looks like. I can see why Owen was mesmerized by her and bargained to see her shift.   Owen’s character is well rounded with intelligence, brawn and looks.  Though he refuses to get involved with women other than one-night stands it is obvious he recognizes his eternal mate. This man keeps his promise even knowing that it will bring his death.   My initial impression of Cait continued to change throughout the book. At first I thought she was spoiled and used to getting her way. But throughout the book she became deeper in character and wanted to do the right thing in regards to Owen even if she would die. I do wish we had a little more back history of her so she felt more complete.    The plot is well written and draws you into the fast pace, action packed, descriptive storyline. This is one of Felicity Heaton’s best books to date because everything in it was from a new and fresh perspective from most shifter books I have read. A COPY WAS GIFTED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW BY THE AUTHOR I give it 5 STARS and recommend it for everyone over 18 due to the hot love scenes. I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. Finally, we have someone out there who is prepared to kick misogynistic cats' arses! I know that our 'heroes' in the other books haven't been like that, but Owen goes on a full-scale assault against them, and that is before he meets Cait, his very own hellcat. Cait is a feisty and funny main female who is not prepared to be 'collared'. She knows what she wants and she's not afraid to work for it. No waiting around to be rescued by this lady! As with all novellas, the pace is fast and you have to make some assumptions because otherwise it would be a novel if everything was explained. However, as with all the Eternal Mates series, this is well-laid out and full of action. We do see some old friends and the teaser about Bleu about killed me!!! Can't wait to read that one! Bless him, it's about time he found happiness. For a short but hot read, I can wholeheartedly recommend Bitten by a Hellcat or indeed, any of the Eternal Mates series.

This is good but it is my least favorite of the series. It is the shortest in length I think and it took me a while to sink into it. I did like the twists like a human Hero, and the surprises. (I can't tell you, sorry.) I really got more into it as the pace picked up and the action increased. I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion. It was good but by far not her best.

This is the sixth book in the Eternal Mates series. I loved it! Owen Nightingale is a fantastic character. I really liked him. He is charming and likable. He is a very determined person, who refuses to back down from a fight to protect weaker humans, fae, shifters and demons from bullies or other undesirable characters. He is a shifter hunter turned mercenary, with a secret that, if exposed, could bring unwanted attention. When he sets eyes on a sexy shifter in a bar, Owen realises that his life may never be the same again. Cait is also a fantastic character. I really liked her. She is a Hellcat, one of the most rarest of the cat shifters. She is feisty and extremely independent, and has no intention of being captured and collared. Whilst evading a Hellcat male intent on doing just that, she meets Owen and enlists his help. I have been looking forward to reading this book for some time. So much so that when I found out that it was up for pre-order, I quickly bought my copy. I started to read the story and was quickly sucked in. The story is told from the points of view of Owen and Cait. The chemistry between them is electrifying; sparks fly almost immediately. I love the scene in the bar with the Hellfire drink, I could imagine that scene quite clearly. I love the description of the Hellcats; they sound absolutely beautiful, and made me wish they were real! The scenes are written in such a way that I could picture them with clarity. There are a few previous characters who make cameos: Kyter, Cavanaugh and one of my favourite elves, Bleu. I am looking forward to reading Bleu's story; his and Taryn's. The little bit which is slipped in to this story piqued my interest. Marius, I'm sad to say, didn't strike me as villainous as he should have done. He is an opportunist and a piece of scum, but not especially evil. But, the unnamed fallen angel is one mean dude! The fight scenes are back to their normal exciting and nail biting descriptions; I found myself completely hooked!  I reached the end of the book and was a little disappointed that it had finished; I felt the story was too short and I wanted to keep reading. However, I am now looking forward to reading Taken by a Dragon as soon as possible. Felicity Heaton has written another fast paced, sexy paranormal romance that I thoroughly enjoyed! I love her writing style, which flows effortlessly from scene to scene. She is number one on my favourite authors list! I do not recommend this book to younger readers due to the extremely HOT and explicit sexual scenes. However, I highly recommend this book (and series) if you love sexy paranormal romances full of vampires, elves, werewolves, cat shifters, succubi, incubi, angels, dragons and demons. - Lynn Worton

Omg I love these books. Felicity is a truly amazing Writer. I Know she says the characters talk to her. And truly feels that way when you read her books. I loved that own had a secret and was willing to share with Cait even before he knew she was his mate. The wonderful chemistry the two have is something wonderful. I cannot say to much without spoiling the story. But what she goes through to save him, is truly remarkable. She is trying to esca[e a hellcat hot on her trail. He wants to Collar Cait, but Cait will not let that happen she will keep on running until she met her true mate. And when she runs in to Underworld seeking sanctuary. She did not know that she had run straight into her True Mate Arms. Now they both just need to figure out that Owen and Cait are Mates.

~ 3.5 Bitten Stars ~ Bitten by a Hellcat just did not have that same great feel as the other previous installments.   Bitten by a Hellcat is book six in the Eternal Mates series. This one can be read as a stand alone.  As books go in a series this one is my least favorite. Which is sad, but their is bound to be one that does not fit or work for someone. Bitten by a Hellcat just did not have that same great feel as the other previous installments.  Owen is a Hunter, mercenary, and has some shocking secrets. Cait is a hellcat, which is something new that we have not yet seen. She is strong and a fighter. These two are attracted to each other from the get go. What got to me is their is no prior relationship between them, which made everything feel rushed and the sex came off as a one-nighter. I did not enjoy the couple falling into be so fast. I never really felt the lust bloom into that eternal love. We do get some great action-packed moments and fans of the series will love that our Bleu makes an appearance, thou it is small, we see a glimpse of who his intended will be. It’s always fun when the author pulls characters back into the story.  Bitten by a Hellcat was still a good read in the series. Not my favorite, but I am looking forward to more great books in the Eternal Mates series. I love this series and If you have not picked it up yet, you must. 4 stars--BITTEN BY A HELLCAT is the sixth installment in Felicity Heaton’s adult, contemporary Eternal Mates paranormal romance series. This is shifter hunter Owen Nightingale and hellcat Cait’s storyline. BITTEN BY A HELLCAT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from alternating third person points of view, the focus of the storyline finds Cait ‘hiring’ Owen Nightingale for a job taking down a man who has been stalking Cait for a very long time. Cait claims the male hellcat believes Cait is his mate but there is another reason Cait has been targeted by the dark and dangerous shifter. When Owen, a human with some power of his own, agrees to hunt for Cait’s stalker, he didn’t expect to fall in love with the feisty and beautiful woman. Owen is a hunter by blood and heritage-a mercenary for hire-who is tasked with bringing in the supernatural species. Off the clock and recovering from a recent attack, Owen recognizes the fire in Cait’s eyes-a fire known only to belong to the elusive and infamous hellcat. He is not on the job but his need to protect Cait comes with some unknown and uncomfortable feelings. The relationship finds our H/h immediately attracted to one another-a mutual attraction that quickly leads to a rushed sexual encounter between our leading couple. Cait’s inner hellcat knows that Owen is their mate but Owen is trying to keep some distance as he searches for the man on Cait’s tail. There is no prior history between Cait and Owen but they are first introduced in book 4-Hunted by a Jaguar which runs parallel to some of the events in Bitten by a Hellcat. The $ex scenes are intimate, provocative and arousing. The world building continues with the familiarity of the shifter night club known as Underworld but the only familiar face and name in the early pages is jaguar shifter Kyter (Hunted by a Jaguar)-the owner and club bartender. Felicity Heaton continues to tease the fans of her Eternal Mates series with brief glimpses at the immortal elf Commander Bleu and the possibility that his mate is a rare species-indeed. The secondary and supporting characters include Marius-the hellcat hunting for Cait; Owen’s cousin; and the copious number of supernatural species who make a cameo appearance throughout the story. Bleu’s potential mate will be imprisoned but continues to sense when ever ‘he’ is near. BITTEN BY A HELLCAT is very much a narrative that reflects on some of Owen’s family history but does not go into detail about Cait’s background or her time in Hell. The communication between our couple is limited as we follow along with the building relationship, romance and journey. And like the title implies, Owen will be bitten but his transformation will not be easy. Felicity Heaton, once again, invites you into an addicting world of the supernatural; a world of shapeshifters, demons, witches and more. The erotic and sensual love scenes are powerful; the matings are intense. Another welcome addition to Felicity’s Eternal Mates paranormal series.

Bitten by a Hellcat was an amazing story. Cait is on the run from a male that wants to capture her, collar her, and sell her to the highest bidder. When she runs into a the famous hunter, Owen Nightingale, she enlists his help in getting rid of the pesky male. Neither of them really anticipates the sparks that fly between them.  I loved that both Cait and Owen had to play the role of rescuer in the story - no damsel in distress here. This hellcat can take care of business when she needs to. Both were willing to do whatever it took to keep each other alive and stay together. There is a ton of excitement that comes up in multiple different ways - all of which only make the story even better. Owen has a really big secret that comes into play several times and it was a lot of fun. I really loved the world and the paranormal lore that Felicity Heaton built.  *This book was received in exchange for an honest review*
