I thought the second book in this series would be more about Little Wolf but he is only in about the last 50 or so pages. It is about his brother, Tom Allred. Allred is being kicked out of the army for letting Little Wolf escape. He sets out to be a hunter and trapper. He comes across the settlement of Ruby's Choice. There is seems to fall for the girl named Ruby. He has to kill a soldier to protect her. Therefore, he has to leave. He later has to kill another soldier to protect himself. Allred is hunted by bounty hunters, the Army and various lawmen. He saves a small wagon train from Indians. When he ends up in jail, Ruby sets out to find Little Wolf and the Cheyenne tries to save his brother Tom. This appears to be a good picture of the old west as it was. Am looking forward to the third book.
