The novel "Bitter Smoke" begins as a mystical detective story, but turns into a psychological novel about loneliness and loss. Two men, smitten by one woman, search for the reasons for her death and discover something about themselves and their own darkness. They are not able to retreat from the search for something external, so as not to remain alone with themselves. Adventures and searches reveal the duality and emptiness in everyone, which can never be closed. The plot unfolds in a confusing, whimsical and unexpected way. After a long search, the heroes find for themselves the only way out for two, which will never bring relief AND an answer that would satisfy, calm and reconcile.
