About the Author

Sally Burr and Gail Ross live in Black Forest, Colorado, and have been friends for over twenty years. As advocates for children’s literacy, they are frequent speakers at schools, libraries, and literary events around the country. Sally and her husband, Bill, and Gail and her husband, Chuck, enjoy camping, fishing and outdoor activities in the mountains of Colorado. Their children, Jennifer, Rebecca, Mike, Erin, and B.J. have grown up together, and Sally and Gail are now watching their grandchildren, Elise, Jayson, Nea, Samantha, Ben, Tesla, and Mikayla growing up in the Forest as well.
