My girls LOVE this series. This is the first book in the series and I'd recommend starting with this book. A nice story about a girl and her special horse.

This book is a must read story for any horse lover. I was lucky enough to meet Blackjack in person and he is a beautiful horse. Reading this book will take you on a wonderful horse adventure! Thank you Ellen Feld for writing such an amazing book.

BLACKJACK is a wonderful story of a horse and a young girl's love for him. Although it is listed as juvenile fiction, this book has appeal for readers and horse fans of all ages. I am an adult and thoroughly enjoyed it. I found myself rooting for Heather and Blackjack from Page One! I hope to see more works by this promising author, who writes with firsthand knowledge of horses, and thus makes her story believable and accurate. I highly recommend BLACKJACK!

What horse crazy girl hasn't dreamed of owning a beautiful, spirited, black stallion? I know I did! I bought this book for my granddaughter and I'm sure that she will love it. It is a wonderful story of a shy girl who follows her dream and finds her inner strength to take a stand against evil. I really felt the excitement, anticipation and nerves that Heather, the main character, experienced in the show ring and know from my own experience that it can be exhilarating! A wonderful book for preteens who just can't get enough horse in their blood. You'll want to read it start to finish!
