Overview

Elizabeth and Barnabas live in a time bubble with their Grandfather "Old Father Time" (who likes plastic ducks). They are sent on a mission for "The Boss" to the Blacksmith's Forge at the end of the "Multi-verse". Their Auntie "Mother Nature" arranges transport in the form of two Pegasus horses Jade and Javelin and a hybrid horse Blade (half Pegasus and half Unicorn). They are often in danger of being eaten by Shadow creatures, Leviathans and Griffins. Admiral Gravity (who is obsessed with eating Marshmallows), and Otto the auto pilot help them to escape the Forbidden Planet.
Whilst at the same time three philosopher camels - Frank, Alan and Milton (who have problems thinking about important issues of life) are also on a long journey on the Blue and White Planet.
After the children leave the Blacksmith's Forge they must fight the fear and doubt of their unbelief to complete their 'Star Mission'. They also meet The "Captain" and the "King of all the Lions" who gives them the strength to carry on to the bitter end; as the five companions battle with the Shadow creatures to save the baby planet.

About the Author

Mark I. Brislin has been living in the longest village in Europe September 1999, which he often refers to as 'the centre of the Universe'. He is married (Conny is his wife's name and she is German) and has two children Raphael Harry (now aged 11) and Sophia Felicia (now aged 9). He lectures in the English language at Freiberg University, which is situated near to the border of the Czech Republic. He has a BSc (Honours) degree in Environmental Science and an MBA, but prefers writing and comedy to science and business. He likes to write poetry and short stories for both children and adults (which are older children). In the winter he loves to go skiing in the nearby ski slopes of the Erzgebirge. Like 'Blade', the hybrid Unicorn/Pegasus horse from his book, 'Blacksmith to the Stars', he also doesn't like needles or eating red cabbage either.
