Ambition has always been his biggest downfall...until he meets her.
World champion bulldogger Sutton Grant works hard on the road, but his quiet charm has earned the nickname "The Saint" because he's never been the love 'em and leave 'em type with the ladies. When he's sidelined by an injury, he needs help keeping his horse in competition shape, but he fears trying to sweet-talk premier horse trainer London Gradsky is a losing proposition--because the woman sorta despises him.
London is humiliated when her boyfriend dumps her for a rodeo queen. What makes the situation worse? She's forced to see the lovebirds on the rodeo circuit every weekend. In an attempt to save face, London agrees to assist the notoriously mild, but ruggedly handsome Sutton Grant with his horse training problem on one condition: Sutton has to pretend to be her new boyfriend.
But make believe doesn't last long between the sassy cowgirl and the laid-back bulldogger. When the attraction between them ignites, London learns that sexy Sutton is no Saint when that bedroom door closes; he's the red-hot lover she's always dreamed of.
The more time they spend together, the more Sutton realizes he wouldn't mind being roped and tied to the rough and tumble cowgirl for real...

I normally enjoy her writing. Not this time. Didn't make it through the first book. Too juvenile, maybe??
The Blacktop Cowboys Bundle consists of 3 Lorelei James stories; Roped In, Stripped Down and Strung Up. Even though these novellas are part of the Blacktop Cowboys series, they stand very well on their own. These 3 were perfect as a bundle since each of the Grant brothers play the leading role in their respective story with each one building upon the prior. All 3 of these stories were very engaging. The author has a way of drawing the reader in and making them feel like they are watching the story unfold. All 3 were very enjoyable and I certainly felt a wide range of emotions but the start of Book 3 took a very unexpected turn that left me reeling. All in all though, an excellent bundle that I definitely recommend.
Fan-Freaking-Tastic I have previously purchased all 3 of these books. This bundle is a great way to get a taste for a new author, you will not be disappointed. Black Top Cowboys Bundle: Roped In 5 Stars Knocks it out of the park again. I love this tie-in with the blacktop cowboy series. The story can easily standalone for anyone just reading LJ for the first time. However, for the rest of us who have always loved Lorelei it's another great story for us to love and enjoy. Stripped Down 5 Stars Mrs. Lorelei James delivers like always. This is another great edition to the Blacktop Cowboys series. The writing is awesome and the characters were well written and engaging. I cannot wait to Mrs. James releases another book in this series. Strung Up 5 Star OMG, Hot, Hot, Hot! This novella is a great addition to the 1001 Dark Night Series and to Lorelei James's Blacktop Cowboys series. This story is so perfectly written. I really enjoyed getting to know Creston Grant and Breck Christianson on a more personal level. Since I have read all the Blacktop Cowboys books I have gotten a few glimpses of these two characters. But don't worry if you are new to the series you won't feel left out. This book can easily stand on its own.
