Blindsided (Sisterhood Series #22) by Fern Michaels

Ladies On Fire

Myra Rutledge isn't ready to mothball the Sisterhood just yet. When Maggie Spitzer, former editor-in-chief of the Post and an honorary member of the Sisterhood, arrives with a new mission in mind, the Vigilantes are soon gathering in their war room once more. While catching up on each other's lives, they plan a brilliant campaign against a duo of corrupt judges running a moneymaking racket that sends young offenders to brutal boot camps, often on trumped-up charges. Their enemies are powerful and ruthless, but the Sisterhood have their own formidable allies--including former President Martine Connor. Once their scheme takes off, the guilty won't know what hit them. . .

Praise for Fern Michaels and her Sisterhood novels. . .

"Readers will enjoy seeing what happens when well-funded, very angry women take the law into their own hands." --Booklist on Weekend Warriors

"Revenge is a dish best served with cloth napkins and floral centerpieces." --Publishers Weekly on Payback

I feel as thought these characters are my friends. Through out the books they have been so well developed. When I googled the series I found pictures of the characters and was pleased with how much they looked as I pictured them. I really wish this would be picked of for a TV series. I hope this is not the last book, looking forward to more.

The ladies are back in business. Good for us ageing, not so healthy seniors, this book shows that we still have value. I did miss the younger people, though. Maybe the next book will have them in the story also. All in all, I just loved this book.

Title: Blindsided (Sisterhood Book 22) Author: Fern Michaels Published: 12-31-13 Pages: 399 Genre: Contemporary Fiction Sub Genre: Romance, Mystery, Friendship, Suspense ISBN: 9781420130119 ASIN: B00DV1I0Q Language: Mild Sensual Level: Low Reviewer: DelAnne Reviewed For: Net Galley Maggie Spritzer brings a new mission to the Sisterhood for consideration. Two corrupt judges who are abusing their authority that need to be taken down. They are using their positions to send youthful offenders to abusive boot camps, often on false charges. When the sisterhood gets involved those involved in the atrocious miscarriage of justice will never know what hit them. Fern Michaels continues to deliver new and gripping novels about the Sisterhood's brand of Vigilante justice. I fell in love with this series with the very first book "Weekend Warriors" and have voraciously devoured each book since. With each new offering I am given an opportunity to become reacquainted with some old friends who are gutsy enough to do what just about everyone has desired to do at least once in their lives; and meet some new friends as well. The characters and their backgrounds are so well developed that you expect to meet them out on the streets. Although the series is best read from the beginning, Blindsided can be read as a standalone. It is a story that will pull you in from the start and hold you until the very end. As you finish you will be begging for more.

The sisterhood series books are my favorite from Fern Michaels. These books are entertaining and keeps you turning page after page till you are finally done. It is an always must know if they will get caught even though they work for the better good. Highly recommend any Fern Michaels books, but the Sisterhood Series is a must for me.

I was delighted when I saw another "sisterhood" being offered! I am waiting for the next one. I have all the series and love the way Fern Michaels writes! All the books have my 5 star rating, but, this one was just a little off... just did not leave me feeling quite like the others did. Wonderful series tho'

Laughter, excitement, suspense, a bit of danger and a lot of revenge run amuck when the ladies gather at Pinewood. The ladies of author Fern Michaels’ Sisterhood series aren’t ones to fade quietly into the background. Though it has been awhile since the ladies were called upon to dispense their own brand of justice, they are always ready for a new challenge. Narrator Laural Merlington does an excellent job bringing the characters to life. Her distinct mannerisms and vocalizations have you believing there’s more than one narrator. She does a great job of switching not only genders, but vast age differences. Merlington adds enjoyable dimensions to the characters and enhances the author’s story. This go-around only the older members of the Sisterhood are called into action at the request of Maggie Spritzer, an honorary member of the Sisterhood and former editor-in-chief of The Post. Maggie senses something is not right with two Maryland judges. She believes the judges, identical twins Celeste and Eunice Ciprani, have a moneymaking racket going on by sending youthful offenders to ruthless boot camps on charges that deserve far lesser sentences. Powerful and merciless, the Ciprani twins run their town with an iron fist. Taking them down won’t be easy, but then the Sisterhood has never backed away from a challenge. Maggie, Myra, Annie and the gang come up with a plan that brings justice to the innocent and deals severely with the very guilty judges. Once again Michaels has crafted a story of suspense, intrigue and laughter. The main characters are well-developed and likable, while the villains possess all the traits you hate for a well-balanced group. The story flows smoothly and quickly with a few surprises along the way and a good blend of humor woven throughout. The steadfast band of friends once again continue their renowned brand of dispensing justice for an entertaining and spellbinding story. BLINDSIDED is the 22nd installment in the Sisterhood series. It can be read/listened to on its own. However, to get a better grasp of the Sisterhood and their actions, a few earlier installments in the series should be read/listened to. This story will have you laughing, holding your breath and cheering for the underdog. Can’t wait to see what happens next with the Sisterhood. FTC Full Disclosure - This book was sent to me by the publisher in hopes I would review it. However, receiving the complimentary copy did not influence my review.
