Overview

Blinking Red Light by Mister Mann Frisby

The hardcore hip-hop debut novel from a natural born storyteller.

"I had all this s-racing through my head. I figured that if the pigs was asking about Dex then they had to know he was rolling with somebody which meant they was going to be looking for me too..."

Blinking Red Light is a story of temptation and betrayal, where sex looks easy but the stakes are way higher than the players could have known.

When Dexter and a longtime friend come across a sweet hook up, it's a deal neither can refuse: they are paid large sums of money to sleep with women with no strings attached... part of a blackmail ring that quickly backfires. Soon the two are caught in a predicament with lethal consequences. Twists and turns come flying at them full speed from the rugged streets of North Philly to the eerie back roads of North Carolina.

Blinking Red Light is fast-paced and intriguing, from its opening line to the shocking conclusion——-a thrilling ride about the madness that ensues when easy money comes a man's way.

What started out as a very interesting story since it really kept me on edge wondering what's going to happen next, ended HORRIBLY. Clearly, Mr. Frisby had a good idea for an urban book, however, it ended just like one of the 'jawns' in his book: played out!

I was hooked from the start but the way the book ended may me wish that I had never started it. I was very disappointed. Add the fact that the main character's name was never giving in the story but you had times when people made reference to his name 'you have a unique name' I had to read the book again just to make sure I didn't look over it. I have just purchase 'WifeBeater' I hope this book will make up for what was suppose to be a good read.

I thought this this book was mostly about sex. But it was more than that. It's about betrayal and trusting people you know. It's an excellent book. Keep them coming, Mister.

I read this book back when it was 'underground,' or more properly stated, self-published. It's real. It's true to Philly. If you've ever been there, expect to go there, or live there now, you must read this book. It's 100% Philadelphia credible! Can't wait for the next one, Mister.

Good book that captured the lingo, the personalities and hustle of the street well. Characters were realistic and almost not fictional.

A wonderful book. Frisby's choice of words in the novel are not only wonderful but are intriguing to the events in the novel. Just a wonderful book that expresses life! Can't wait to read his next book!
