Ok first off I have had this book for over 2 mths and have read it 3 times. Now I am going to be extremely honest about it. When I first read the book I found it kind of down and depressing to the point I didn't really finish it. A few weeks later I was talking to my sister about her life and mine and we kind of reflected on who we used to be. I was quickly reminded that i had this book. So I went back and finished it.I didn't think I truly understood it that way, so I went back and read it again straight through and considering its not a very long book this did not take much time. I found myself relating to his poetry even more this time after I got a better feel for how he writes and what he was writing. When I finished the book I was actually please with just about everything I had read. It is not the down and depressing book I assumed at first. It was a journey through events that he had gone through and struggled with. I saw Depression, addiction, guilt, fear, personal torment and self destruction. At some point which I will not tell on here I had so many of these issues. I am glad he wrote this book for what ever reason he had decided. He is a brave man, who is trying to find himself through and his own debris. I honestly feel it is a great way to do so. I congratulate this man for helping others to see his mistakes, misfortune and utter painful times. I learned a few things reading his words and I know I will reflect on this book time after times. yes it was that good After all!

"Blizzards of Thought" by Eric R. Garcia is a great book and I highly recommended because everyone shall feel touched and identified with his poetry. I have to admit that poetry is not my first choice of reading but I was attracted with its title and the book cover image so I decided to bring it home with me. I love it, it is very emotional and it is really a book for reflection. I am deeply involved with its simple style of verses and thoughts in many ways thought they were written base on my own experience and I believe everyone will feel the same. You have to read this book and understand that you are not alone, we all have the same dilemmas with just different situations and we all can overcome them.

Eric I haven't purchased your book as my financial situation does not allow me to. I have read Many of your poems and have witnessed as you have wrtten some and have been a part of reviewing them prior to getting your book published. You have such True Talent, words that have so much meaning to your life and others lives. I admire you for putting your life's adventures, both happiness and sadness into words.

I downloaded this book out of curiosity because I really have never read a poetry book or even thought about doing it. After I started it was a difficult read until I understood the style of how he writes. Once I had that in my head I couldn't put it down. I have not really had such tragic events in my life that i could relate to everyone but some definitely hit home and I was very happy to see some of my own thoughts written so eloquently. I give this man a lot of credit for allowing other people to see such pain in his life. I am also sure that so many people got a lot out of this book in just the reflection alone . Great title! It suites the book perfectly. I would say its a MUST READ ! I have will recommend this book to everyone!

First of all I have to agree with most of these comments and say that this was a very personal book that I hope the author faired well with in dealing with these issues out in the open. I had found myself at first thinking that this book was just going to be some deep poetry but what I found as I continuously turned the pages was a clear relation between the events he had wrote about and my own. Before long I had easily gotten engrossed by the way he described his emotion state through each and everyone of these. Although this may on y be my perception, I found this book to be so real and painful. I found it to be something we should all look upon once and awhile to reflect on our past mistakes. I am happy to see this writer as probably many of us do, as someone who has conquered these trials and survived! Because honestly is that not what we all are trying to do! SURVIVE!

This debut book of poetry Blizzards of Thought by Eric R Garcia is in one sense highly personal but this does not mean readers will be unable to relate to it. For everyone at some point in their life has experienceced some sort of pain, heartache, loss, strife. Poems were so beautifully written that at many times, I felt myself reflecting on my own life and brought tears to my eyes, but also a smile because the author shows that even through all the strife, you can make it through, as he did. I finished this book in one day and dreaded having it come to an end. This was the most passionate book of poetry I have read in a very long time. This collection of poems is wonderfully complimented with many touching pictures as well. I highly recommend this book to all readers. Am already awaiting the second book from this upcoming and gifted author.

The poems in this book touch on emotional issues that are hard to explain, painful to endure and scary when exposed. The author is able to present them in a way that all can understand and some can relate to. A true journey through the stormy mind of a poet's Blizzard of Thought.

I found this poetry book to be real passionate about something we all seem to hide in our own lives. Life ! It happens to us all and this poetry book reminds us of that. Challenges, pain, love and loss. These things make up so much of our being yet many people do not even discuss it. This book is fantastic in a way that I can't really describe. It was touching to the point it made me cry, remember and reflect on my own life. The things I have been through and made it through. Thank you for sharing such a personal experience.

I have been reading alot of poetry recently and a friend recommended this book through face book. Wow so sad and real. I did relate to so many of these and I was shocked at seeing them put into such accurate words. Good job I hope to see another book soon.

I found this book through a friends referral on another website. I can definitely say that this book did take alot courage to write and even print so that so many people can read. I too have had a real hard times with life and its difficulties. I commend this Author for overcoming these downfalls and seeing the true appeal in his accomplishments. Reflection is a perfect subtitle for this book, for I found myself doing just that. The more I read (NOOK) the more intrigued I was with his ability to put some of my life and events to such emotional and passionate words. Thank you for sharing. I hope to see the next book move into a new better light. I am sure it will. I will def. Buy it!
