Offsides by Elise Faber Becca works hard to earn her money and she badly needs it. She has a temporary position at Prestige Media Group. She dreams of Devon, her handsome boss. When her ex starts to bother Becca more and more Devon tries to be there for her. Becca really likes him, but he's her boss and she isn't supposed to fall in love with him. He is gorgeous though and it's clear he enjoys spending time with her. Do they have a chance? Offsides is a sweet romantic story. I immediately loved both Becca and Devon. They work hard and have good hearts. They're generous people, which is something I definitely liked. They have an easy connection and there's plenty of wonderful chemistry. It's clear they belong together and I couldn't wait to find out if they'd have their happily ever after. Elise Faber has written a cute and sexy story. I always love it when main characters obviously belong to each other from the moment they meet. Becca has a lot on her plate and I liked the combination of the seriousness of her situation and the way Devon fits into her life and makes it better. Offsides is a lovely story and I enjoyed reading it very much. Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet Charlie is happy with her new job at Prestige Media Group. There's only one rule she has to stick to and that is not to fall in love with one of their clients. When Charlie meets Hutch she has no idea he's one of Prestige's athletes. She soon finds out she even has to organize his party. She tries to stay away from Hutch, but he's persistent. Will she be able to resist his charms or will she lose her job? Charlie is determined to stay slim after not running professionally any longer. She makes things quite difficult for herself and that is how she meets the man of her dreams. I love stories about love at first sight and Off Guard is definitely a good one. Hutch wants to help Charlie while he's also trying to make her notice him. That was endearing to witness. He's very sweet and he's the perfect man for Charlie. I loved their story from the beginning. Stephanie Fournet has written a story about a difficult topic. Her writing never becomes heavy, but it has a clear message, which is something I loved. The romantic side of her story is amazing and she perfectly balances lightheartedness and seriousness. Off Guard is a great story with fascinating main characters. It also has a fabulous endearing ending. Reading this story put a big smile on my face. Off Limits by Kristin Vayden Ava and Bryce are twins. Markus is Bryce's best friend and works for the Prestige Media Group. After an injury he's trying to get Bryce's football career back on track again, but Ava knows how dangerous it is for her brother to do this and she blames Markus. For Markus Ava has always been the one, but she isn't speaking to him anymore. Will he have a chance to make things right with the woman of his dreams? It's obvious that Markus loves Ava and they are fantastic together, but there's one little issue, Ava is angry with him. Markus is trying to make her like him again. She means so much to him and I found that incredibly adorable. They are soul mates, but Markus has to work to earn Ava's love and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out if he'd succeed. Kristin Vayden has written a terrific romantic story. She combines a charming relationship with a serious warning about sports injuries. I loved that combination. Her story has a feel-good atmosphere, while she still educates her

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. This book, was actually 3 short stories about forbidden romance. The first one was about a Boss (Devon) former hockey player who was attracted to his temporary assistant Becca. Though they try to fight attraction they eventually give in, he is total alpha. Unfortunately, there is a misunderstanding after being caught by his real assistant who came back a day earlier, I did not like her. Devon fixes things, and they have there HEA. the next story is Hutch and Charlie. Charlie works for his agent so a relationship with client is frowned upon. Hutch goes full force after Charlie, and at the beginning I was not that crazy about her, I understood her position, but felt she was a little to abrupt with him. Eventually, she also gives in, they also end up with there HEA. Then we have Ava and Marcus. This really was not a forbidden love story. It was about Ava being upset with Marcus, because she believed he cared more about money than the health of her twin brother Bryce. According to story, she has hated him for 3 years, and when Bryce intervenes, she ends up giving Marcus a chance.

Heat Level: 2 flames out of 5 Rating: 4 stars out of 5 Block and Tackle is an anthology of three stories written by three different authors. Each book is based on something related to Prestige Media Group. The three books can be read independently. The only real tie is the agency that represents the hot athletes that we meet in these short stories. The first story is Offsides by Elise Faber. It is our first glimpse at the Prestige Media Group. What better way to start off with the former hockey star and present CEO of Prestige Media Group. Running a multi-million dollar company is easy. Staying away from his temporary assistant is impossible. The second book, Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet introduces us to new employee Charlie Woodruff. Charlie loves her new job. She loves living in San Francisco. She also loves to run. When she meets a kind, sexy fellow runner she is instantly attracted to him. When she realizes that the gorgeous hunk of man is Hutch Barlow the Oakland Raiders new wide receiver and client of Prestige Media Group Charlie tried to keep the relationship strictly professional, but Hutch has other ideas and isn’t about to let Charlie get away without a fight. The third story, Off Limits by Kristin Vayden is about another agent, Markus has been representing Bryce since the beginning of his career. They have been friends since college. Markus has a secret. He is and has been in love with Bryce’s sister Ava for a very long time. The problem is the bro-code says to keep away from your best friends sister. Especially when said sister hates you. Tired of hiding his feelings, he is about to risk not only his career but his friendship with Bryce. The characters in all three books have an amazing chemistry. The stories are relatively short and read quickly. Each story has just enough angst to keep the stories interesting. They all have their own happy ever after. There isn’t that much in the way of character development. The stories are basically in the moment stories not dwelling too much in the past. Block and Tackle is made up of three independent, novella length stories centered around Prestige Media Group. They are quick reads and are filled with sweet, sassy, and intense moments sure to leave you satisfied. While two of the authors were new to me, Elise Faber's Offsides had all the snark and chemistry I've come to love and expect from her. If you enjoy sports and romance mash-ups, this anthology is for you!

These were three stories revolving around the Prestige Media Group. Each story had it's own leads and were quick reads. They were intense stories right from the beginning. There was a forbidden romance, a boss and his assistant, and then a love hate story. I have found two new authors, as I loved Elise's stories. Each story had me swooning over the male lead. You had alpha, sweet and charming, and then a bit shy. I voluntarily received a copy for my honest review.

This is a great collection of sports stories by three very talented ladies. Before I read this I had only read one of the authors and I can definitely say that will be changing after reading this anthology. These stories had everything you want in a romance story. They had some laugh out loud moments as well as the romantic moments I love. You should definetly get this book.

Block & Tackle is a collection of three sports romance stories, all connected to Prestige Media Group. I have only read Elise Faber before, so I had no idea what to expect with the others. I will give my review as an overall, rather than split it up. This is a wonderful set of stories, two full length and one short, but ALL of them provide enough information that you are fully aware of what is going on, and what is at stake for each of them. Each story is very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. They have action and a steady pace, throwing intricacies into a 'jock' situation so that all the characters are well-rounded. Full of sass and wit, I can guarantee that this collection will have you smiling. I know have two more authors to check out, as well as Elise Faber, so that means that I can definitely recommend this book! Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

Love this anthology. Each was artfully written and very enjoyable. They are all sports related but not connected. Absolutely enjoyed being sucked in. A little upset they ended but they were short stories. Highly recommend reading!
