About the Author

I have been a writer from the time I was old enough to recognise that reading was a doorway into my imagination. Poetry was my first foray into the art of the written word. Books were my best friends, my escape, my haven. I am essentially a recluse but this part of my personality is impossible to practise given I have two teenage daughters, who are actually my friends, my tea-makers, my confidantes... I am blessed with a husband who has left me for golf. It's a fair trade as I have left him for writing. We are both passionate supporters of each other's loves - it works wonderfully...

My heart is currently broken in two. One half resides in South Africa where my old roots still remain, and my heart still longs for the endless beaches and the smell of moist soil after a summer downpour. My love for Ma Afrika will never fade. The other half of me has been transplanted to the Land of the Long White Cloud. The land of the Taniwha, beautiful Maraes, and volcanoes. The land of green, pure beauty that truly inspires. And because I am so torn between these two lands - I shall forever remain cross-eyed.

I'm a huge fan of the Ms. Ayer's Skinwalker series, so I was so happy to see this spin-off series revolving around Mel. I really enjoy her snarky, kick-a** personality. The support characters are also wonderfully developed and like-able. There is tons of action and adventure, and the perfect amount of romance. This is a winner for sure!

No spoilers ... just an honest review I received this book free with the hopes I would read it & leave a review. I liked this story, starts a little slow as there is a good amount of plot & character building. Mel is dynamic, stubborn often at her own expense and frankly a tour de force! This is a good quick read& a good beginning to a series. Now on to the next book!

This book was amazing! It kept me hooked all the way through. This was one of those stay up until 3am books. I was literally up all night with this one, and I have no regrets doing so. Sleep can wait, because this book was so worth my time. This book was filled with a whole new world. You wouldn't think of someone making a book about a soul tracker, so this one kept me interested. It had just enough description so that you could feel how certain magics in the book felt to the main character. It was as if I could feel it running through me myself, and I could really live out the story. This book is not only about a soul tracker, but a good hearted one too, that always puts others before herself, even if it means putting herself in danger. She has a good soul that I was easily able to bond with, and ultimately become a part of her. Mel was the perfect type of main character for the book. That being said I have already decided that I want my friends to know about this book, so I am raving about it to my best friend. I love being able to share how much I love a book with others. That being said I would definitely want to read more of this authors books, and I can't wait for book 2. I can't get enough of this world.

I really enjoyed this book. This is one of my first books by this author and I am glad I had the chance to read it. I like how strong of a character that Mel is and I like the idea of a master teleporter. Of course gargoyles are alaways cool too. I love the interactions between the characters and how they go about doing what they need to do. There are plenty of twists and turns and its enough to make a very good book. Mel is a character that will have you rooting for her as you go through the book with her as she tries to save as many people as she can. I know for a fact I will be looking forward to more in this series!!

Fascinating read that brings you into a dark and dangerous world full of Magic and supernatural beings. Mel is very likable and easy to relate to even with her loner (not so Loner) ways. She is young, feisty, smart and very loyal (also of the charts powerful, with makes her very valuable). On this dark and action packed dangerous journey she is tested to the limit it seams. Overall a very entertaining late night read and I am looking forward to more stories of her adventures.

I have been provided with a Copy of Blood Magic by the author for and impartial review. I absolutely loved this book and read it in a single sitting. Magic, astral projection, witches, necromancers, demons, gargoyles, and genies what's not to love with all things paranormal! The fact that they were assisting the police finding missing persons is amazing, what a twist on a paranormal story. Can't wait to read the second book to see who Samuel is protecting and who took Saleems mother.

I have been provided with a Copy of Blood Magic (A SoulTracker Novel #1) by the author for an impartial review. That being said, I was unsure as to what I was in for. A truly surprising read! I couldn't put this down and devoured every page! I do not believe in giving away information on any story, as I think it takes away from the people who are/want to read, but let me tell you, I can't wait to read the next book and hope this series is very long lasting! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and it is well worth the price. The book was very well written. This does seem to be very similar to another series, however, I would like to see how this series goes and if it takes a drastic change to be all its own. That also being said, each genre does seem similar until you find an author who has the imagination to change it up to higher expectations.

Blood Magic is an exhilarating introduction into the DarkWorld: Should Tracker series by T.G. Ayer. It grabs you from the get go. It’s an action-packed fast-paced mystery that keeps you on your toes. I couldn’t put it down. I throughly liked the idea, mystery, and scenarios that played out in this story along with the supernatural twists. Mel, I liked. Her character was easy to connect to. She’s enjoyable, appealing, can get out of most situations, magical, capable, and has some great friends plus a background that is just beginning to be told. She is strongly dedicated to what she does and won’t give up on those she made promises too. She puts everyone before herself and her abilities are unique and rare. Those abilities that she has where very intriguing. It just added to Mel’s uniqueness. The secondary characters where captivating. I really enjoyed her little gang she has and the love interest that shows up. It was fascinating to find out what and who this love interest is. Though we have a love interest and these awesome friends, our main focus is on solving the mystery and rescuing a little girl. We do get a few questions answered, yet more questions come up. The ending left me wanting the next book now, so I could dig deeper into the mystery that is left open and those questions still unanswered. A few things did bother me. Her abilities or at least one was to be a secret, yet I felt everyone knew about it. I also felt like to many things where left open. To many questions at the end. Blood Magic is a riveting urban fantasy full of mystery that keeps you guessing. I had a delightful time reading and can’t wait to get my hands on book two and find out what happens next.
