Chapter 1

“Every breath and every heartbeat and every minute of every day was spent waiting for you,” Reyna whispered against his skin.

His perfect skin. The hard-muscled chest, the cold feel to him, the awareness of his body pressed against hers. She had waited so long for this. So very long.

“Becks,” she said. She ran her hands against his jaw and forced him to look down at her. A bottomless sea of onyx enveloped her. “Say something.”

“I love you,” he said like a prayer.

Her breath caught. She’d waited to hear that for so long. At her low points, she even tricked herself into believing Beckham had never said those words. That maybe he had never admitted to being part of the rebel group Elle. Maybe Beckham had never put all of his trust in her hands only for her to rip it away in one horrifying flight of dizzy terror.

But he had said those words. And she had run out of his penthouse after he had bitten her. And then she had been kidnapped by Visage.

This was her reality.

One she had survived with all this time.

She’d ruined everything.

But now he was here and saying those words to her. The words she’d so longed for. And she couldn’t stop herself from relishing in it.

“I love you too.” She wrapped her arms around his neck and held him close. She wanted to feel him, solid and unmovable. To know that she couldn’t shake him—that nothing could tear him away from her again.

A tear slipped out of her eye and down her cheek. He pulled back and brushed it aside with his thumb. “Shh, Little One.”

“I can’t believe you’re really here.”

“You never have reason to doubt me.”

His thumb moved to brush across her lips as she read hot desire in his eyes. It had been so long since she’d had his hands on her. Since she’d seen that look cross his face. Her body heated from head to toe and a flush suffused her face.

She said the words she’d been dying to say: “I never should have run that night.”

“I know, but you’re here now.”

And after that there was no talking.

Beckham pushed her backward and onto the bed. It creaked beneath her slight weight and she feared that it would break entirely with the both of them. But she didn’t care.

Her heart was in her throat. Her hands reaching out for him.

He ignored her and took the threadbare dress she’d been wearing in his hands and ripped it straight down the middle. She was naked underneath save for a pair of cotton panties, but he looked at her as if she were encased in silk lingerie. And she had been once. It felt like a million years ago.

A primal growl escaped his lips at the sight of her. He shucked his black shirt to the ground and stepped out of the black slacks. He was bulging through his boxer briefs. All she wanted to do was reach out to him. To feel him inside of her again.

But Beckham was in control. She’d once quaked under his gaze and immense size. Now she was shaking for entirely different reasons.

His lips closed over her nipple, sucking it into his mouth and causing her back to arch off of the bed. His hand kneaded the other breast as his hips held her in place. His fangs grazed her nipple and she nearly fell apart right there.

The separation slid away and she was once again lost to this man.

This was good read. I didn't like this book quite as much as the first book but I still found it to be quite enjoyable. This is the second book in the Blood Type series which is a series that really needs to be read in order since the three books come together to tell a single story. This book does end in a cliffhanger like the first book from the series did. I don't usually care for cliffhangers but I knew going into this book that the story would be continued in the next book which would be coming out pretty quickly. I really did enjoy this second chapter in Reyna and Beckham's story. There may be spoilers from the first book in this review. The first book in the series, Blood Type, left Reyna in a pretty desperate situation. I have been eager to see what would happen next ever since finishing that story so I decided to jump into this book to see how things would work out. Life with Harrington is nothing like the life she had with Beckham. She spends her time giving blood and is fairly miserable. There is quite a bit of action and excitement in the book with more than a few surprises worked into the story. The mysterious Elle organization plays a much larger role in this book with Reyna spending a lot of time with them. There is a pretty large cast of characters that all add to the story. Reyna and Beckham are still the stars of the book. I love how much both of their characters have developed since the start of the series and how well they fit with each other. I would recommend this series to others. I think it is a very well done and original vampire romance with a nice dose of heat. I cannot wait to read more from K.A. Linde soon.

I was beyond thrilled when I saw that Blood Match was up for review on NetGalley. I had loved Blood Type and was waiting for Blood Match to come out. I had hyped this book up in my head. I am glad that it lived up to my internal hype because I would have been mad if it wasn't good. Let me clarify, mad at myself. I try not to let myself get all hyped up over books. But in this case, because Blood Type was so good, I let myself do it. Blood Match starts off 56 days after the ending events of Blood Type. Reyna has been kidnapped by William Harrington, the president and CEO of Visage. Reyna was kidnapped because of her very rare blood type, RH null negative. Harrington needed Reyna for her blood but he wasn't above torturing her when she wouldn't comply. One of those times, he left her alone with a deranged vampire that he called B. Reyna is soon broken out of Visage by Elle. Reyna soon learns that not everything is what it seemed. That enemies can be allies and allies can be terrible enemies. Can she overthrow Visage with the help of her friends or will she be forced to watch people that she loved die? Blood Match was as dark and gritty as Blood Type. There was an undercurrent of violence that ran throughout the book. That is what made the book so good. You never knew when violence was going to explode. What I also liked, and what made this book dark, was that the "good guys" weren't necessarily good guys. The author had those characters walk a thin line between good and evil. I loved it!! The sex in this book was great. But, what I liked was that there wasn't a ton of it. But, when Reyna and Beckham did bump uglies, it was explosive. Even Reyna's dream sex was amazing!!! The plotlines in Blood Match were not resolved. If anything, more depth was added to them. I cannot wait to read book 3 to see how this story ends. The end of the book was insane. I didn't expect what happened to happen. And it ended with a small cliffhanger. I was mentally yelling "NO" when I read it. I rated Blood Match with a 4-star rating. Why did I do that? I liked the plotline. I liked the characters. The sex scenes were hot. Now, with the good, there is the bad. There were parts of the book that I didn't like. I didn't like William Harrington. I didn't like what Visage was doing behind the scenes. I didn't like the cliffhanger (as small as it was).

Blood Match is the second book in the Blood Type Trilogy and it follows the story of Reyna and Beckham as they go through ups and downs to be together. Ever since the first book ended on a cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to read Blood Match and it did not disappoint at all. A quick recap on what happened in the first book, we were introduced to Reyna Carpenter who lives in a time where vampires co-exist with humans and she is going through financial struggles. Without a degree she has no choice but to work for Visage Incorporated, an organization whose motives were to help humanity by creating the blood type cure. Vampires who drank blood from a human who matched their blood type became less animalistic. So they matched humans with vampires and they were paid to give blood. Reyna was matched with Beckham Anderson, a very powerful vampire and their adventure took off as they slowly started to fall in love. Blood Match picks up right where the first book left off, Reyna has been away from Beckham ever since she got kidnapped and taken to Visage. We get to find shocking news at the end of the first book that become essential in the second book as Reyna tries to free herself from William Harrington (CEO of Visage Incorporated). She has been used as a blood bag due to her blood type and as days go by she doesn’t know if she’ll be strong enough to survive all the trauma that she has been through. It is the memories that she has with Beck that keep her sane, but when she get help from unlikely sources she has to make a choice that could put her life at risk again. I absolutely loved reading this book, I think it was even better than the first book and it keeps getting better! In this book we really get to see Reyna figure out what she wants and after going through all sorts of obstacles she truly shows how strong she is until the very end. There are a lot more character interactions in this book as we get to meet new characters and learn more about their lives. Reyna finds some shocking news about Visage and this is what drives her to wanting to end it once and for all. The end of the book also has a cliffhanger and it’s shocking! I wasn’t expecting that ending at all and I cannot wait to read Blood Cure. I would highly recommend checking out the trilogy, you will not regret it. :) ***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.***

Mind-blowing. I stared at the very last word of this book as if I could conjure it to continue, that’s how awesome Blood Match is. I literally sobbed at the end… Cliffhanger from hell almost killed me! I think my brain is still stuck in the amazing world that K.A. Linde created and my heart… well my heart is still a little bruised. First things first, if you haven’t read Blood Type (the first book in this series) you have to read it in order to understand Reyna and Beckham’s story and their world and after that you can pick up Blood Match and follow this compelling love story. So, Blood Match picks up where Blood Type left off, Reyna is in serious trouble and Beckham can’t help her because it could risk everything. The story starts slow but it kept me totally engaged, the mind games are absolutely insane and Reyna’s interactions with Harrington, the world’s most powerful vampire, are totally unpredictable. Honestly, I loved how the story kept building, the tension kept rising and how every action caused an extraordinary reaction (or twist). Will Reyna survive Harrington’s mind games? Is Beckham strong enough to fight Harrington? Survival is the ultimate challenge. And love… Love may or may not conquer all. Compelling, unpredictable, intense, stunning, brilliantly written with a captivating story line, Blood Match is the real deal. Honestly, I would say this series is the best series I’ve read this year. Can’t wait to get my hands on Blood Cure!

I am in shock. How can an author leave you in such upheaval? K.A. Linda left us hanging. Crying. Aghast with wonder. The title needs to bring life back to us. I am beside myself waiting for the climax of Becks and Reyna’s story. No one should be left in this state of mind.

Author Kyla Linde just keeps those surprises coming, and I LOVE IT! She drew us in and pushed us right over the cliff with BLOOD TYPE. Now Reyna and Beckham are back and better than ever in BLOOD MATCH, and Ms. Linde is taking no prisoners as their story continues. The reality of Visage, the truths about who can be trusted and who cannot, the web of intrigue that goes deeper than Reyna could imagine, Kyla does an absolutely great job of conducting this non-stop thrill ride, and making us want more. I was hooked from page one and could not put this book down, which, for me, is the mark of a great read. And, y'all, if you thought that the ending of BLOOD TYPE was a jaw dropper, well, you ain't seen nothing yet. Where the heck is Book 3, Kyla? You'll be asking the same thing, and wishing it was there on your e-reader. Believe me when I say that you want to be all caught up when BLOOD CURE (Book 3) goes live, so stop what you're doing and read these books, right now. You will not be sorry.

wait! stop! what just happened???!!! this cannot happen!! No!!! why do you keep doing this to me, Linde? OMG!!! IT CAN'T BE REAL!!!! People...she loves to torture us! So, if you love being tortured, or even if you don't, go out and get this series!! I'm not a fan of vamp books, etc, but Linde has made me a fan of hers!

WOW! Just W.O.W. Blood Match was one of those books that grabbed me from the first page and I found myself drawing out my reading time because I didn’t want the book to end. At Reyna and Beckham’s first scene together, I still thought he was a jerk, but I have to say he did prove himself throughout this installment. In true Linde fashion, BE READY FOR THE ENDING!!!! I thought I called it several times, but I wasn’t even close.

4 stars for - Blood Match - book two in the Blood Type series by K.A. Linde. You have to read book one - Blood Type - prior to reading this book in order to have a better understanding into this crazy intense PNR world of vampires and humans that Ms. Linde weaved for us. After the way book one ended I thought for sure there wouldn't be too much of a cliffhanger in this one but I could not have been more wrong with my thought process! Hang on to your seats since the road does get a bit bumpy along the way. The last time we saw Reyna she was in a bit of a predicament running away from the man she loves and into the trap she never saw coming. Being held by Harrington and used against her will has turned her into a very bitter person. Weeks later an opportunity arises and she takes her chances on escape but running from one prison and finding herself in another wasn't part of the plan. The many people of Elle aided Reyna in her escape but they are the same ones who refuse to allow her to do as she wishes. While she understands to a point the headstrong Reyna doesn't take too kindly to being told to sit on the sidelines either. Meanwhile the man she loves is more distant than ever choosing to barely even acknowledging her existence let alone the closeness they once shared. Reyna is desperate to bring Visage down now more than ever for everything they've done to her and those she loves. In rather dramatic fashion a masquerade ball on New Year's Eve is where everything will be revealed and it is nothing short of spectacular. In true Linde style you won't see a few of the shockers that are revealed coming!!! I can't wait for book three - Blood Cure - next!

Blood Type is a series that must be read in order. Blood Match is book two and picks up exactly where Blood Type (book one) left off. Reyna is still being held by Harrington, Beckham has not saved her, and she is trying to figure out how to escape the hell she is in. This will be a tough review to write without giving away spoilers. There is so much wonderfulness in the story but to share it would be giving away too much. So I will keep it simple. The storyline is amazing. I am a vampire story fan and love that this is not the typical human falls for a vampire; they change her, and their love blossoms. That is not what Blood Match is. There is the human/vampire love story but this is the story of a vampire who has figured out a way to get power, too much power and is taking advantage of those who are not so powerful. I love that there is depth, mystery, and drama to the story. There are characters that are relatable and likable. This is a MUST-READ book. Read Blood Type first, meet Reyna, Becks, Penny, and the rest of the characters. Learn about their lives, their loves, and their hates. See where life is leading them. You will not be able to stop reading.

I have struggled for weeks since reading this 2nd installment of the Blood Type series, as to what to put in my review. So much went into this one book, and without spoiling a thing, I will say I am still experiencing a book hangover weeks after I read the last word. I can tell you, that this book ends on a major cliff hanger, and while we know the third and final installment is out in just over a month, it’s still hard to wrap my head around the events of this book. I was happy, elated, in love with where Kyla took this story, and at the same time heart-broken and traumatized. So much angst has been packed into this one book, I do whole heartedly believe it’s the most angst filled book she’s written to date! Having read every single one of Kyla’s books, I know that you can’t let where this book ends ruin you. You must find a way to realize that there will be more, and wait for it. This is by far one of the best books I’ve read in 2018, and truly was a page-turner. The characters made me love them, hate them and even pity them for certain reasons. In all my years writing reviews, I have never struggled to put my feelings into words without using every word under the sun to encompass my feelings. Kyla has done it again with the 2nd book of Reyna and Becks and I can’t wait to see how this story ends in August. For someone who has never been into paranormal romance at all, Kyla truly has surprised me around every corner! BEST BOOK OF 2018!!!!

Who am I? Reading PNR and books with vampires? I don’t know who I am but this book was everything I hoped and wished it would be! KA Linde has changed me forever, I am a reader of vampires and paranormal romance.  I didn't know what KA Linde would bring with this book and she has woven a story that I could have never imagined.  Beckham continues to be a vampire that I would love to be a blood match for, I now understand were Reyna is coming from. Blood Match picks up exactly where Blood Type left MUST read Blood Type first!  With each word written my blood was pumping harder and harder! The twists, turns and beautifully written words were perfection and damn you, KA Linde, I am hooked to this series like I haven't been in a while!  The passion, lust, and love between Reyna and Beckham were tangible and once again, KA Linde has left me hanging, needing and wanting MORE!

This was a good read. I am a huge fan of KA Linde, but have a hard time with paranormal romance. I had a hard time getting into this second book and the cliffy at the end had my jaw hanging open. The writing is brilliant and kept me on the edge of my seat. I love an author that can create a story so outside the box. It was a good read, I just had a hard time getting into this world again. I am very interested to see where this story will end in book 3 with everything that has happened at the end of book 2. This is book 2 in a 3 book series. You need to have read book 1 to understand what is going on in this book.

Life is certainly not going as Reyna planned. As a blood donor, Reyna thought her task would be the escape from poverty her family needed. Then Beckham walked into her life. To say that things became unpredictable would be an understatement. Who ever imagined having feelings for their vampire host? A string of ‘not so great’ decisions has led Reyna to a place of danger. An unpredictable state that seems to only get worse as the days drag on. As Reyna deals with life in her ‘new’ surroundings, things begin to seem more bleak than ever before. The one thing that keeps Reyna’s determination flowing is the thought that Beck’s is out there somewhere. How can Reyna find her way through the hardships she is facing? Can this really be the way living as a Blood Match turns out? What an interesting turn of events…..when we left Reyna in the last book it seemed that a difficult road was up ahead. As time passed, we see exactly what is in store for Reyna as a blood match. There is more to meet the eye in this world of vampires, blood donors, and the underground fighters. Beckham and Reyna fight everything standing in their way, but will their different paths in life lead them further apart? Blood Match will answer more of your questions and leave you searching for the truth. Another shocking ending sets the scene for the third book. Get ready for the ‘bite’…..

An explosive and intoxicating book, Blood Match will leave you gasping for air! I'll preface this by saying I'm usually not a fan of paranormal books, however, I'm an even larger fan of K.A. Linde, so I had started Blood Type, and I became completely addicted in Blood Match. You do need to read these in order, and if you are anything like me, you will be chomping at the bit for Blood Cure. Blood Match picks up after Blood Type, and finds Reyna in a position as a blood surrogate for someone who puts her on a pedestal as a queen, but still aims to knock her down, will she be saved, or will she save herself? I adore Reyna and Beckham. The passion, the fire, the devastation these two go through has your heart shattering. I loved every single angsty second of it. The characters are intense, the situations they are put in will make your jaw hurt from your teeth clenching, but the adoration between them is palpable off the pages. Overall Blood Match is an engaging story that has a political underlying theme to it. You don't want to miss this heart-pumping (or not pumping as the case may be) novel!

This book was much better than the first one. It is no secret that I struggled a little bit with that but I am so glad I didn't give up on this series! At the end of the last book Reyna runs away from Beckham and runs right into her kidnappers at Visage. They keep her as a captive and she is basically a blood bag for one of the most powerful vampires. This obviously sucks. She can't speak to anyone but I also thinks it opens her eyes to what is really going on. Her Naivety is what made me hate her in the first book but she is not so naive now. I actually enjoyed her in this book! Her character was so much stronger. I am excited to see her grow in the next book. Beckham.. well I still am not 100% on them. Yes the scenes with the two of them are hot but I hold grudges man. And he was just an ass. So I guess we will see how it goes in the next one. A lot happens in this book. I do not want to give away anything but be prepared. In true Linde fashion the ending will make you want to scream. I am dyyyyyyying for the next book! I received a copy of this book from the author.

Blood Match is the second book in this series and starts off right where we left in the first book!! Reyna Carpenter, is kidnapped and held captive by the Power Hungry Vampire of Visage just for her rare blood type.. She is also very much wanted by Elle, the revolutionary group who are fighting the Visage.. Visage wants Vampires to be in control and Elle is fighting for equality between vampires and humans. And in this political war, Reyna is the pawn.. Reyna is still an attraction to troubles.. However, i loved the growth of her character in this book.. She is much more strong!! Beckham ends up stealing your heart all the way!! The relation between Beckham and Reyna is tested even more in this second installment. The hidden secrets threaten their love and the world they are trying to create even more.. This book reveals political aspect of the vampire world and the revolution in Depth... Blood Match was even better than the first book.. I couldnt put it down once.. The plot was so gripping.. And that ENDING!! I didnt see that coming.. Iam a fan of this author's writing, especially her angst stories.. I knew that she would leave us hanging.. But nothing prepared me for the Cliff hanger in this book... K.A. Linde just outdid herself in this book!! Even though, the finale comes in 2 months, with the ending that was pure evil, 2 months is real long!!!!

This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion. WOW!!!!!! That ending BLEW me away!!! I don’t have words….I wish the entire book was on the level the ending was on. I’m going to start this review with the things I didn’t like about this book and then work my way up to the things I enjoyed. Just to end it on a positive note. The thing I didn’t care for the most in this story was it started to have this BDSM feel to it. Beckham became this domineering/dominate guy and Reyna was the submissive partner. It was really strange and not something that I enjoy reading in my romances. Beckham would make commands and Reyna would snap to it without much thought. Reyna would end up with bruises and feeling pain but thought it was okay/worth it. I just didn’t like that aspect at all. Reyna also had blinders on when it came to Beckham. No matter what he did now or previously was going to change her mind about him. Reyna had this image of who she thoughts Beckham was, her Becks, and nothing was going to sway her from that. Also, there was a lot of science talk in this one. We had so much going on and trying to understand blood matches and blood types that it just became way too much. I also wasn’t a fan of Beckham in this sequel. He became a totally different guy from the one we met in the first book. It’s like we mainly saw Beckham….but not so much Becks anymore. The side he usually let come out around Rayna. The more human side if you will. On the more positive side of things, I loved this story at its core. My jaw fell to the floor several times throughout this book. I loved the twists and turns. I was constantly on the edge of my seat when the story was upfront wondering where things would go. I think this story has so much potential but sadly veered off course too far for me to enjoy it. I did love the first book so very much and look forward to reading more from this author. Sadly, this just didn’t work for me.
