wonderful book, having trouble with the Nook version so going to order the book.
Blood Pressure Down is informative I was keen to review this book. I am in my late 30’s and don’t have any issues with blood pressure. I still wanted to go through the book to make better food choices. After reading the book, I realized how excess salt can be fatal to your health. Salt is a slow poison which increases blood pressure. Though our bodies need salt to function properly, we tend to consume way too much salt than we realize. For instance, the soup we order at a restaurant thinking its healthy actually contains too much salt. Similarly, pizza too is full of excessive salt. So now when I go out, I take a slice of pizza to keep my salt intake in control. I have stopped buying canned vegetables and eat more fresh foods instead. While cooking, I try and use a variety of herbs instead of too much salt to enhance flavor. Blood Pressure Down has lots of valuable information and tips which are easy to follow. Plus there are various heart healthy recipes which would make delicious and nutritious meals. The book contains various helpful lists such as: * 10 step daily checklist * Chef card: slashing salt at restaurants * Sample blood pressure down meal and exercise plans * Heart healthy recipes. The Blood Pressure Down book has given me the essential knowledge to make informative and healthy choices when dining out.
Easy to read and to apply.
