Violet Monday is gifted at assembling words together to create a wicked style of urban prose. In her writing, Violet Monday shows that she understands the ups and downs of human nature. Violet Monday is also a skilled storyteller. When you flip the book over, you can follow page after page of various engaging scenarios. Reading this book puts you in the shoes of various people- the loner, the pregnant teen, the romantic, and the artist- you can find them all in Blood Splattered on the Paper.

I truly enjoyed every poem in this amazing collection. Interestingly enough I could identify with many of them. Like someone took parts of my own life and wrote poetry about them. Amazing....

In the telling roses are red, violets are blue but then the thorns...that's another telling. 'Blood Splattered On The Paper' is a very interesting read. Poetic and passionate. A soulful display of the peaks, the valleys, and streams of one's life unfolding. An obvious feminist slant that has the rhythm of a diary. Revealing, serious yet, humorous. Makes you want to cheer for the author's written therapy and articulative and artful style.

This book is a really great read. It is loaded with interesting, fun, and comical poems. I enjoyed the vulnerability that the author so generously displayed. I think this collection is definitely worth reading.

I usually don't like poetry, but I highly recommend Blood Splattered on the Paper. The author engages all senses and breaks out of any traditional artistic confines, setting a new standard for creativity. I left the book feeling both satisfied and yet craving more, somehow the author captures every essence of life in a way that is startling.
