A gift for my sister as this series is too dark for me. She loved it. She's a big fan of Blood+ and is hoping there will be more manga for the series. It's a good read if into vampires and things like that in a dark setting (or dark in my opinion) ^^

I've got to admit that at first I was skeptical about the manga series--but now I've been reading them, and this volume has really got me wanting to see more. The plot differentiates from the anime series, but is still just as thrilling and interesting. We see another side of Diva here, and the characters are seen in a new light throughout this version of the series. It's fascinating to see how this particular take on the 'Blood' series will play out--dramatic scenes and storyline, interesting and entertaining characters, thrilling action scenes and gory battles that keep you wanting to turn the pages. The artwork is somehow almost a contrast to the overall theme of the story; more soft and almost 'shoujo' in a sense, but it only serves to enhance the effect of the books. The cute schoolgirl who fights monsters with a japanese sword, and her equally as cute sister who rips and tears her way through people, quite literally. I am impressed with how much I have enjoyed this series, definitely on the recommended list for anyone who asks or is interested. A series that would be interesting to males or females, this is an epic story that will draw you in and keep you wanting more.
