Truth: A painful condition caused by a prolonged state of sexual arousal without release.

Myth: Only affects males.

I’m beyond frustrated with the man who’s left me high and very far from dry. Multiple times. But, somehow, even though I’m not interested in a relationship, Mr. Tall-Dark-and-Handsome keeps me coming back for more—one crazy, sexual debacle after the next.

Come hell or high water, the stars will align, and the release will be out of this world.

I’m captivated with the woman who’s left me sixty-nine shades of blue, and she's only in this for one thing. The first time, I blew it—and not in the good way—but I’m going to ensure we finally see it through. I need to put an end to this “plague” of sexual calamities and prove to Sarah that we can have more.

It's time to grab the universe by the balls and show it who's boss.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This story was beyond wonderful. I really believe you should read Clam Jam before this book as all the characters and events happen in that book. This book can stand alone but Clam Jam is terrific and this is part two of that book. This book starts the previous year from when most of this book takes place. It starts at Ry and Maggie's engagement party. Jack/Cupcake is single and he and Maggie's bestie, Sarah/Sunshine are super attracted and decide to have a fling. But as the title of this book is Blue Balls, Jack suffers through that alot. After the fling that never happens they separate for a year when Sarah travels. The book really starts one year later when she moves back to town. There is a lot of flirting, non dating, getting ready for the WEDDING and even a 10 year reunion and a wedding crashed and LOTS and LOTS of blue balls. LOTS!!! Through it all commitment phobe Sarah and Jack fall hard for the other while suffering episode after episode of you guessed it....Blue Balls. This book is very cute. Jack is a wonderful guy and Sarah is afraid of turning into her mother romantically and this book is very flirty and fun. I loved how Jack and Sarah are there for each other through everything and I LOVE their love of 80's movies. This is not a short book. It has close to 50 chapters, a prologue and 2 epilogues. I LOVED that we get such a romantic story and really get into each others heads. I also loved how involved Maggie and Ry are in this story. This was a wonderful story and I loved every second. While it is not super HOT, it is very light reading with no heavy angyst.

I liked this book. Sadly not as much as I loved Clam Jam but it was a good book in its own respects. Jack and Sarah became friends because their best friends were roommates. The chemistry between the two has always been off the charts and they decide to take it to the next level.. you know S-E-X. Well an unfortunate love bite and ass slap results in both of them having blue balls. The question is will they ever get together and is this just sex or can it be more?? I liked Sarah and Jack. I really loved Jack. He was a hottie but he used to be a nerd in his former life and sometimes still feels like that nerd underneath. He was such a sweetie. I love when the hero knows he's found his girl. He just has to convince her that he is the one. Sarah... she loves sex. So this blue ball thing is not working for her. She is somewhat of a free spirit but she is very jaded about love due to her dad leaving her mom years ago and the way he mom choose to cope. She's cool with a sexual relationship with Jack but unsure about more. I liked the story and humor in this one but it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be even though the sex scenes are hilarious. Overall it was a humorous and cute story and I would recommend this book to those who like a little blue balls with their romance.

Blue Balls is a roller-coaster. Seriously, it’s one hell of a ride and I spent 99,9% of it laughing out loud! It can be read as a standalone but I definitely recommend Clam Jam to be read first (trust me, Ry and Maggie’s story is totally worth it). Sarah and Jack have been attracted to each other ever since they met and now they are both single… and the chemistry between them is hot, hot, hot! Sarah is hilarious. Her thoughts are a little crazy, she even compares her glare to Darth Vader’s “little Jedi move” (you know, he remotely – as in without physical contact – chokes people) and I loved her craziness but sometimes it got a little repetitive. Jack is sexy, witty and so easy to love. I loved him in Clam Jam and he did not disappoint in his own story! Mr. Blue Balls is something else! Sarah and Jack really wanted to give in to their attraction but they kept getting blocked, it was absolutely funny and refreshing even though sometimes I wondered if it would actually happen between them! While I kept loving Jack more and more through the story, Sarah slowly started to annoy me. I wanted to shake her and tell her to open her eyes to see what was right in front of her and of course that’s mainly because I really, really loved Jack. If you love romantic comedies, I highly recommend Clam Jam and Blue Balls. Blue Balls is funny, sexy, flirty, well written, unique, low-angst and will definitely make you laugh out loud.

I LOVED this book!! I have been anticipating this book since I read Clam Jam. It exceeded my expectations. I was laughing from the beginning to the end. Could Jack be any more romantic and swoon worthy. I so want a Jack! I love his nerdy side and his humorous side. The banter and teasing between Jack and Sarah was my favorite. The scenarios these two find themselves in are hilariously funny. I absolutely loved the epilogue. I can't recommend this one enough.

Gosh, I loved this book, it was filled with gags and laughter, hot sex and a storyline so funny my throat hurt from laughing so much. Sarah and Jack have known each other for a while, both been interested but unavailable until one day, suddenly all the balls are in the right place. She wants him. He wants her, and neither has a significant other to get in the way. What could be simpler? Well, it would appear with these two, just about anything. Their first attempt to knock uglies crashes and burns so badly, Sarah runs away to the opposite side of the country for nine months. They try again, once she’s forgiven him for his foibles of last time. Jack’s sexy as hell, but he’s kinda nerdy too. Whereas Sarah is just plain crackers, but in a good, laugh out loud way. And once they finally get down to business, she’s not backward in coming forward and telling Jack exactly what she wants and expects. Fabulous hot read. One-Click today, grab a comfy chair, your favorite tipple and settle down for a several hilarious hours.

This was my first R.C. Boldt read, and it sure won't be my last! Blue Balls caught my attention just by the title alone, and kept me captivated throughout the entire story! Hilarious, witty, and oozing with charm, the storyline was exceptional and definitely in a league of it's own. Sarah and Jack were comedic gold! Their interactions together were beyond anything I expected. Not only is their connection completely entertaining, but their personalities shown the brightest when together. An entirely push and pull relationship, it's easy to relate to Sarah's hesitancy to have anything to do with Jack. The first time they're finally able to be together, it ends in disaster....or more appropriately, blue balls. So why try again, right? But that's exact what Jack does...try and try again. Each hook up seems to be more frustrating than the last. And you can't help but wonder if each time will be THE time, or what ridiculous situation Sarah and Jack will find themselves in next. The romantic aspect of Blue Balls was utterly endearing, and you'll catch yourselves with hearts in your eyes and butterflies in your stomach. The unique dynamic between Sarah and Jack drove the story forward, immersing the reader in the HEA outcome you hope the characters will have. Incredibly well written, this book will make you laugh out loud and swoon hard, all at the same time!

Amazeballs! That was my first word that came into mind with this book. I was laughing so much while reading this amazing story. I could not help myself, once I saw the title and read the blurb I just had to read this book. I enjoyed the writing and love what the author brings us. I need to back track to Clam Jam, but Blue Balls can be read as a standalone. Jack is adorable and I loved him immediately. Sarah is so different from what I have read so far, and I absolutely love her. I felt so bad that these two could not catch a break. They definitely put "Blue Balls" into a whole new level! The drama in the story unravels you. I had so much fun reading some of the words out loud to my hubby. I had him keeping up with this story too. That is a huge first! Blue Balls was a great RomCom! The sexy this book brings is off the charts good. You will have a permanent smile plastered on your face through the whole book. This is my first read from R.C. Boldt and I have became a fan!

From the time I first heard this title, I have eagerly anticipated the release! We met both Sarah and Jack in Clam Jam and now we get their story in Blue Balls. Seriously, how can you say that title and not giggle? This story was a laugh out loud romantic comedy. The situations that Sarah and Jack find themselves in as they try to seal the deal will have you laughing as well as the crazy situations they find themselves in! Sarah has some hilarious run ins with a have to read it to believe it. The whole book is so much fun and underneath it all is a great love story. I loved that we got to see Ry and Maggie a ton in this book, too. Great read and everything I hoped it would be!

RC Boldt what have you done to me?? I don't think I've ever laughed so much while reading a story. Blue Balls is definitely the funniest book I've read this year and she gives new meaning to the Romantic Comedy genre. How could you not absolutely love Sarah, aka Sunshine, and Jack. These two were just two darn much! There was so much creativity and originality between the two of them, I had to wonder if "IT" was ever going to happen. It was so blatantly obvious that Sarah and Jack should've been together but the universe sure gave them a run for their money. I mean, how many times can to try to make it happen before you just want to give up? Not these two! I loved that Maggie and Ry (characters from Boldt's previous work, Clam Jam) were brought in as secondary characters. They truly added to the drama, in a good way, in Sarah and Jack's story.  This is such a fun story that readers are going to love! Great job on another fantastic read!

I first discovered RC when I read her book, Out of Love and then again in Out of The Ashes (which both are phenomenal books). I have since devoured every book she has written. As soon as I found out she had a new book releasing I knew I had to read it. The title Blue Balls means just that: blue balls. I absolutely loved reading Jack and Sarah’s story. The relationship that these two develop was so great! The fun they had, the banter that happened between them was hilarious. Jack’s naivete, if you will, with certain aspects of life and what woman want was so amusing. Another winner and must read from Ms. Boldt! I wish I could give it 10 stars!!!!
