This is a true story about the author, Lynn Schooler and his adventure in the Alaskan Wilderness. His mission starts after his friend, Michio Hoshino, a Japanese photographer trying to photograph the elusive glacier bear, dies in a bear attack. Lynn sets out to finish Michio's goal. I really liked this book, since I love the wildlife and stories or friendship.

Interesting story on many levels. The personal journey of a shy person opening up to a woman who is killed and then beginning to open again to friendship with a Japanese photographer. It includes many well-written descriptive views of the wildlife of the area along with a lot of scientific research about them. I have to apologize for lack of detail but I loaned my book to a friend.
