The murder of Jeff Wright was one of the most brutal and controversial in Texas history. His wife, Susan Wright, stabbed him in excess of 193 times before burying his body in a shallow grave in the back of their home. What followed was a media frenzy as Susan was dubbed as the "Blue Eyed Butcher." Court TV televised the entire trial while numerous media outlets devoted special segments to the case.
But the picture didn't fit.
Susan was depicted as this cold-blooded, sadistic killer. Everyone who has met her, however, has come away feeling that she was a shy, polite woman who could not harm a fly. The prosecuting attorney would claim that her politeness was just an act...Was it an act? Or did Susan simply snap after being abused one time too many?
