NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Opposites do more than just attract in USA Today bestselling author Toni Aleo’s latest Nashville Assassins novel about a very bad boy and the good girl he can’t resist.

The instant Piper Allen sees Erik Titov, she wants him—wants his rock-hard body, sure, but the strength and mystery that lie behind that superstar hockey jock demeanor, too. So when he sidles up to her at a bar and slinks his arm around her waist, she’s lost. What follows is the wildest night of her life . . . followed by inevitable heartbreak the next morning. And then, a few weeks later, a very big surprise: two blue lines on a pregnancy test.

Only a check to the head could make Erik fall for a nice girl like Piper. But since their crazy-sexy night together, he’s been trying to forget about her alluring body by falling into bed with every woman in Nashville, and it’s not working. So when Piper shows up at his house with a baby-bomb to drop, it doesn’t take much for Erik to suggest the nuclear option: marriage. While it’s supposed to be all for show, the second they say “I do,” the ice between them starts to melt into sizzling steam.

OMG!!  This book had it all.  Stubborn man, Strong woman, Sexy Hockey players.  Piper has the perfect scene for all women who have men that do nothing but play video games.  I can't wait for the next book.

The Assassins series by Toni Aleo has become one of my favorites and I look forward to each new installment and to seeing what the author has in store for her fans with the next romantic installment of this outstanding series.  Blue Lines is Piper and Erik's story, who we've met in previous installments.  I really liked Piper.  I do have to say that Erik Titov is the first guy in this series that I haven't automatically fell in love with.  In fact, he is quite the jerk and I could have slapped him on more than one occasion.  However, that is exactly the way he is meant to be portrayed and it adds a whole new facet to the series.  Not only does Erik have to play his part in the story, he has to win over the reader's heart as well, which is something that I really enjoyed seeing unfold as the story progressed.   Erik has issues, big issues  He has been through a lot in his life, but he is also very arrogant, selfish, and is quite the man-whore.  He doesn't understand his attraction to Piper.  That combined with his fears that stem from his past, as well as his fear of letting anyone in. play a big factor in his royal jerkdom and the meanness, both intentional and unintentional that he dishes out.  That said, he does grow on me and despite it all, I did come to forgive him and root for him by the end of the story.  Piper, I loved her the whole time, though I did feel sorry for her at times, and at other times I wanted to shake or or at least take control of her foot and make her kick Erik in the rear or somewhere else even more painful.  She endured so much in this book, and the hurt she went through is more ran deep, as did her love.  She has her own insecurities to work through, but she really is an amazing person.  The relationship that developed between these to was intense and dramatic to say the least.  The chemistry between the two is hot and the sex is even hotter.  Blue Lines is quite an emotional read also, at least for me, because I was so felt so protective of Piper.  It was nice to see the person Erik developed into, however.  I also loved getting to see the rest of the characters that fans of the series have come to know and love, which is always a wonderful part of reading the Assassins series.  Toni Aleo has delivered another hot, sexy, and wonderful installment in this series and I can't wait to see what she has in store for her fans next.
