Robo, a beloved Great Dane, is tricked out of the embrace of his human family and then is horribly altered by a scientist who rebuilds him with technology never seen before. It leaves Robo a genius, almost immortal and with powers beyond explanation. But the suffering Robo experiences changes him—driving him insane with the sole mission to destroy all humans, especially those who have tortured and hurt dogs. Meanwhile, Blue, a scrappy alley dog, is trapped in a shelter, when she captures the attention of another scientist desperate to stop Robo from his path of destruction. Her mission: save human civilization and the packs of dogs she’s grown to love.

A thoroughly enjoyable tale for teens and adults, especially those who love dogs. Characters are multifaceted and surprising, and the plot twists unpredictably yet logically. Very well done.

Man's best friend. It's not always that cut and dry. This book pursues the lives of two different dogs across the South. It is an entertaining, complex, and insightful story. Whether you are an adult or a teen you will be engaged on many different levels. A must buy, must read page-turner. There is a more detailed review on VOX.

A fast-paced fun read. Every time I thought things were going to go down a predictable path, the characters did something wild I didn't see coming. It's also interesting to realize you really like aspects of both the hero, Blue, and the villain, Robo. Enjoyed it. Want the next one in the series!
