Blurred Bloodlines: Second Part of the Blurred Trilogy by Kallysten

~ Three people in a relationship was complicated enough. When the mind of one of them is broken, things get harder still... ~

Months after closing the breach in the City, Kate's squad is in a new town, battling demons yet again. Blake and his Sire Marc have accompanied the soldiers and continue to help them, although Blake, these days, is just as busy fighting demons as he is scheming.

He sleeps with both Kate and Marc separately, and figures that, since they are attracted to each other, they should sleep together too.

Before his ultimate goal of sharing his bed with both of them can be achieved, however, the unthinkable happens: while fighting demons, Blake stumbles through a breach and becomes trapped in another dimension.

Grieving over his loss, his lovers fall apart and go their separate ways. Will finding Blake again – a damaged Blake, half-human and half-vampire, incapable of speech and scared of both of them – help them grow closer once more, or will it end their relationship for good?

I won this book through coffee time romance's santa clause giveaway. I had never read anything by this author, but let me tell you this book was smokin' hot! It was also well written with a lot of emotional impact. There was a scene in the book that had me crying as much as the characters in the story. There was a lot of humor and love in it also. I liked it so much that I bought the next book ( blurred memories ) for my nook. If you like menage with a lot of hot sex and sweet tender moments you will like this book!

Blurred Bloodlines was intense and real. It was a major emotional roller coaster that left me feeling both exhausted and rejuvenated. I cried, OMG did I cry while I read this. Loosing Blake shattered the lives and hearts of Marc and Kate. I felt the loss too, almost as if it were my own. That's not the only thing that I felt while reading this however. At one point I was literally holding my shaking hand over my mouth in a 'HOLY CRAP!' type of gesture. Can you imagine that? My hand was actually shaking. That has never happened to me before. Blake underwent some big changes in this book and not all because of his captivity. His pain in the butt attitude had started to change at the end of Blurred Nights and it continued in this book. I love how he schemed to get them all into bed together. There was a scene where he decked out Kate's room for the perfect romantic rendezvous that melted my heart and made me see a different facet of his personality. When Blake returns a whole new set of emotions bloomed in the characters, fear and horror being the most prevalent. These too were easily felt. The character building that occurred in Blurred Nights only made those emotions hit the reader that much harder. Watching Marc struggle to help Blake was heart-wrenching. Getting a look into Blake's broken and chaotic mind was painful and left a hollow feeling in my chest. As only she can, Kallysten delivers some incredibly awesome sex scenes in this book. I missed them in the previous book in the series, but this time around we get lots of the hot and heavy. Kally always manages to elicit a physical response from me when I read her work and Blurred Bloodlines was no exception. Blurred Bloodlines completely blew my mind. I'm not sure when, if ever, a book has made me feel what this book has. If you enjoy great reads that pull you in and make you feel in ways that you never knew a book could then this one is for you! One more thing... It's unbelievable how well the title of this book fit's it's contents. It dazzles me how apropos it is.
