This reunited lovers story is that of Annabelle and Joel. Next door neighbours in their home town, one night between them changes their friendship but also puts Joel on the run, and when they meet a few years later halfway across the world it's as if fate is pulling them together again. Can they recapture their lost friendship and find their way back into each others arms? I quite enjoyed this new adult romance. With alternating points of view, we get insight into the thoughts and feelings of both main characters. They have the memories of their childhood friendship in conflict with their sexual attraction to each other, showcasing that they are all grown up now and are capable of a mature relationship. Joel's past family experiences have shaped the man he is now and he guards his heart carefully, but Annabelle has a way of reaching him that no other woman has. Their love scenes were steamy and well written. I also enjoyed the camaraderie with the other characters in the story who have had their own books in the series. This was a quick and entertaining read with a sweet and sexy romance. 4 stars.
AHH got my dose of Aussie life and lingo. I love Nicola Marsh because she lets me visit Australia without leaving the US. This book follows Annabelle, whom we briefly meet in Towing the Line, and the man who broke her heart four years ago. They're both from Australia, she went to Colorado under an exchange student program and he's a practicing Physiotherapist that has been traveling the world. Luck, or misfortune if your Joel, bring them together in Colorado. He's been avoiding Annabelle for fear of not being good enough for her and being tied to his home town which is a sore spot in his life. Annabelle will not give up now that's she's found Joel again. She plans to seduce him and make him see she's a woman now and knows what she wants. One kiss leads to way more really hot scenes and Joel goes back home to visit and realizes his reason for avoiding life has all been a misunderstanding. He realizes what he's truly missing out on by avoiding Annabelle.
Blurring the Line is the third book in the World Apart Series by Nicola Marsh. This is the story of Joel and Annabelle. Joel and Annabelle were next door neighbors growing up. Feelings for each other developed, then one of them ran away without a goodbye never looked back. Now years later they are reunited. Will their questions be answered? Will there be forgiveness? Will they rekindle what once was? Find out when you read this amazing book! I loved how in each of these books you get to catch up with the other characters from the previous books in this series. All the books in the series are fantastic reads that I will highly recommend to anyone. Nicola Marsh does an outstanding job with this series. I couldn't put these books down. Super reads!!!
