He received both his Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication and Theatre and his Master's degree in Applied Communication Studies from Indiana University. In his books, Scott seeks to not only entertain kids of all ages, but also to share valuable life lessons in character development. His writing is inspired by his own favorite authors, Dr. Seuss, Shel Silverstein and Kurt Vonnegut.
