This book had a bit of a slow start and then some of the details were a little rough. A few words were left out here and there but that was the extinct of the editing problems. I found whodunit, a bit unbelivable, as this person did not have much of a lead in or details to support the reasons of the taken actions. I really enjoyed all the convolutions and characters. Other then the few minor glitches mentioned, this book was extremly enjoyable. It was a good, clean murder mystery. There were no extreneous curse words, sex, or blood and guts scattered all over kingdom come. This 457 page nook book would be suitable for readers 16 and up. Younger readers could read it, if they are advanced readers and like mysteries. I enjoyed this free book very much and recommend it highly. I am going to see if I find the second book of this series. Although this book had some grammatical errors, the flow was not interrupted. This book does deal with murder, child abuse, homosexuality, rape, and other touchy subjects to some degree. I would suggest reading it before allowing under 15/16 to read. I myself enjoyed this mystery. The ending was not a total surprise, but worth getting to.

I got this book because the title was so interesting. I soon learned that the characters were ongoing in other books. I was hooked right away. Fell in love with the characters and can't leave them be. I am keeping my eye on this man. Cannot wait to read anything else I can find by him.

Very strange book. Did not like the homosexuality part of it, it floundered quite a bit. Would not recommend.

If a high society murder mystery sounds like a good time I'd recommend this. Well written and had me guessing til the end. Kinda wrapped it up a little fast considering the backround provided for me though

I enjoyed this book. It is what I would call a happy little murder story. I really liked the characters and the setting. I feel the ending was a bit rushed and the actual murderer was not very believable. Definitely worth the read though.

Might have been a good story, but the poor editing and rambling coversations made me skip from page157 to the end to find out who dun it

and in this case a WHOLE lot more!!! i'll admit that i got this book soley based on it being free and i am sure that most of you will do the so as well, that being said, i am glad that i read it. some of it is quite predictable, but some of EVERY book is predictable, so don't get your undies in a bunch over the obvious, take a look at the story it tells and there you will find the true gem that this book is. it has the required twists and turns and a fun little hook of an ending leaving the door open for more for more down the road. so throw your feet up and stop thinking this is War and Peace and let the tale be told!

Not bad till a confusing ending

The plot originally would have made a good story but the villain was totally unbelievable. To much involved and ridiculous. Really a waste of time reading.

Loved this book. Suspenseful .

The ending was forced and obviously intended to set the stage for future amateur detective adventures. Needs a bit of reworking so it isn't quite as stiff and jolting.
