About the Author

Alan Spector has written four previous books of interest to Baby Boomers, the generation that lived through the tension and turmoil of the Vietnam War/Protest Movement Era. Writing is far from his only pursuit. Since retiring from a successful 33-year career with the Procter & Gamble Company, Alan has been a founding partner in three businesses and has been deeply involved with social service organizations, community initiatives to reduce violence, and education programming. He is a management consultant, baseball player, nonprofit Board member, frequent traveler, speaker, blogger, and most importantly, the active and proud grandfather of four. Alan lives in St. Louis with his wife, Ann. Learn more at aaspector.com.

I enjoyed this book very much, partially because the author is a friend and classmate of mine from the University City HS class of 1964 as was MJ Savoy to whom Alan dedicates the book and partially because it's about a time in history that seems to define our generation. The novel is very well written and brings back memories that are dear to me. Some of the memories are good, some not so good but all of them serve as a reminder of that time in our lives when we all had to take a stand we probably would have preferred not to. I recommend this book as well as others Alan has written. He truly puts his heart into his writing.
