In the book, a woman is gently introduced into BDSM by an experienced and well equipped gentlemen. Although she is afraid at first, he gently guides her and wins her over. Towards the end of the story Sara is playing with gusto, imagination, and willing to try anything. Her transition is well described and, I think, believable. Unfortunately the two main characters don't communicate well: A common problem in normal relationships but a potentially disastrous one in a BDSM based relationship. When one partner is tied up or gagged and cannot stop an activity they don't want or enjoy, it can severely damage a relationship or worse lead to physical harm. That's why there are safe words and the mantra Safe, Sane, and Consensual. In the story, Anthony goes beyond Sara's limits, the situation gets complicated, tragic and all too real. It's a very enjoyable and satisfying book. It's also educational for people wishing to explore the world of BDSM.

Patti Davis is a great writer, and 'Bondage' was an excellent book, Once I picked it up I just could not put it down. I just wish it was longer so I would not have finshed it so fast. I give 'Bondage' by 'Patti Davis' 4 Stars because its very detailed, excellent choice of words, and it shows the struggle for domaniance between men and women. I would have given it 5 Stars but it starts to drift off topic in the middle a little, other than that 'Bondage' by 'Patti Davis' is number 1 in my book.
