Behind 'enemy lines' the last thing she expects is a sexy alien warrior determined to make her his…

When things screw up in diplomatic talks with the Lathar Dani Black finds herself lined up for the one thing every dyed in the wool soldier dreads… a diplomatic function. Alone on the Lathar ship without backup, she must play nice, rescue a VIP and somehow get them both back to her own ship without causing a diplomatic incident that could result in the annihilation of the human race.

The problem is one sexy as hell alien warrior. Tall, silver-haired and handsome, he's her escort for the evening and makes her want things she certainly shouldn't want from an alien, no matter how sexy he is. But then a conversation goes bad, and she finds herself in an alien challenge circle fighting for her freedom. It's all going well, until her sexy alien steps into the ring…

The moment he saw her, he swore he'd make the beautiful human woman his mate.

Sardaan is the envy of his shipmates when he's assigned by the emperor to escort a visiting human dignitary for a diplomatic function. But that's not all he's been assigned to do… under orders to seduce the beautiful human woman at any costs, Sardaan is more than happy to do his duty.

Things take a turn for the unexpected when a simple display of combat prowess becomes a challenge fight. Sardaan must step into the ring against the woman he yearns for her and claim her before he loses her forever to another. But, once he's beaten her and claimed her in the eyes of his people, he realises his battle has only just begun.

Can he make his delicate but stubborn little mate see they have a future? Or will forces conspire in the shadows and steal any chance of happiness they have before it's even begun?

Sparks fly in this latest red-hot sci-fi romance in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Mina Carter's Warriors of the Lathar series.

I was given an Advanced Review Copy, by the author, in return for a honest review. This is the seventh novel in the Lathar Series. I liked Dani and her fighting, warrior spirit a lot. Sardaan, though, finally grew on me as the story progressed. I found it endearing how he cared for the lesser ranking warriors. I also liked how the couple's bond grew with time, making it feel quite natural. From their reluctance and mistrust to deep love, was enjoyable to watch unfold. This wasn't my favorite book in the series, but it was an entertaining, romantic Sci-fi read! - Sarah

It is a great story, just wish it was longer. 170 nook pages filled with conflict, action, humor, heartache, and steamy loving. I have read this whole series an love all of them, but best if read in order, although not a must, just makes it more enjoyable. Can not wait for more of this series. *Side note: I hope the emperor finds his mate very soon, he deserves a HEA too!****

Sardaan and Dani I just love this series I am never tired of it. The books will have you smiling or laughing out loud at some of the antics of the Warriors and how they are learning to cope with human women. And this book is no different the stories just keep getting better as these tough rugged Warriors are pitted against human intelligence and let's just say Humanity is lacking. Dani and Sardaan are both older Warriors who made a career and their own militaries. Start an help train the Quesadan of his race. These young men are 3rd and 4th children or should I say generations that are considered of no importance. Their lives are worth nothing to their families and that in itself is sad but that is the way of the lost our world. Dani join the military to escape her planet after all her family has died. She is only known the military life since that time and has made a name for herself among that group of people. She is strong and fearless no matter how petite she is and will not back down from a challenge if she believes she can win. These two characters we're interesting enough to read that I didn't put the book down once I started it and I can just say thoroughly enjoyed their story. I have voluntarily written this review.
