Cole Morrison and Regina Capalini thought they were destined for each other, but destiny had other plans. In this world, nothing is as it appears on the surface, not even for Regina who, as a Wolf shifter, thought she had already seen it all.
Neither she nor Cole ever knew what real love was and once they find it, the next step is seeing if they can actually survive to enjoy it.
Thrown together in a life and death adventure, everything they ever thought they knew about themselves comes into question.
In a world where the supernatural is lurking just below the surface of the mundane, few believe to see the truth right in front of their eyes and by the time they do, it's too late.
When life is hanging in the balance, who will you trust? Where will you place your Loyalties?

Regina turns up in Diego's care after her last pack wanted rid of her. She has a very large chip on her shoulder and as the story progresses, you find out exactly why. Regina is a prickly character to start with but, you know what, that absolutely suited her. I will admit, I thought I'd started the wrong book when I read the prologue but it all ties together perfectly. The character and world building in this book are second to none. Everything slots into place but not without difficulties arising from miscommunication, circumstances etc. One thing that I need to emphasise right now is just how good this shifter world is!! The ties that bind them are so strong. You learn a lot about 'pack life' and can imagine it being just this way. The explanations given on vampires, on how silver hurts the shifter, on how pack law rules are the only way, just fantastic! This is a chunky book which I am so thankful for! This is a book to lose yourself in, to immerse yourself in and to thoroughly enjoy! Take your time with this book and enjoy every single word. Highly recommended! * I received this book from the authors in return for a fair and honest review. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!
This book is beautifully written and I am well into the series. I am not one to normally leave reviews but this series NEEDS to get out there! This is a nice change from some of the shifter/vamps books I have read. The pace is great and the pages keep turning. The characters are memorable and descriptive enough to get a great "movie in your head" as you read.
I bought this book as a suggestion of a friend. I am glad I did! All through the book, you are on the edge of your seat to see what will come next. Many parts you think you have figured out, until the authors change it up, keeping you wanting more and more. I was sad to see it end, but I am happy the 2nd book will be out soon. I will be first in line to get that one!
Far more than a book about werewolves and vampires. It's a book about true friendships, spiritual attachment, and ...well...loyalty. It's a fast paced adventure that keeps you riveted. Far more adult than the Twilight series, with characters that have colorful and vivid personalities you can visualize clearly. I could read several more installments of this series and still want more.
