This book is not an instruction manual on how to practice evil. The author, in fact, debunks magic. The book is divided into two parts: the first discusses the history of grimoires in Europe and the author debunks black magic practices, the second part is actual text from some of these grimoires and is somewhat tedious reading. Yet, students of religion and history will find it an interesting historical document.

This book is a great resource for students studying the occult, and a perfect resource for the practitioner of Goetia.
