Reviewed by Mamta Madhavan for Readers' Favorite Book of Dreams: The Ringtail Family by Sylvie Michaud is the delightful story of Papa Ringtail, Mama Ringtail and Baby Ringtail. One day while looking up at the sky, Baby Ringtail asks why each cloud has a different shape. Mama Ringtail explains that each cloud holds a different dream and both Mama Ringtail and Papa Ringtail tell Baby about the dreams they have. In this book, the author tells kids about dreams and dreaming, and introduces them to a new concept. The author also captures the imagination and attention of young readers through some skillful narration. I found the story adorable. The story is told and illustrated so attractively in a manner that kids will love it. Grandparents and parents will find this book perfect for bedtime story telling. It can be used for read aloud sessions in classrooms and school libraries. The book introduces kids to new words, ideas, thoughts and concepts, and makes them imagine and dream about new things. The author's descriptions about the dreams and the clouds are aesthetically and visually appealing. The illustrations are charming and lively and they help kids comprehend the story better. The illustrations give all three Ringtail characters a personality of their own and breathe life and movement into the scenes and story. I would recommend this book and the other books in this series to all parents and grandparents to have in their personal collection as they are useful in teaching kids new concepts and ideas.
