About the Author

Joan E. Ruffins, is a native of Manchester, Jamaica. She is a wife and mother of three wonderful children. She is certified to teach in Florida and Texas. Additionally, she is an United States Army veteran, and speaker. Joan earned her Master's Degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, Bachelor's Degree in General Studies from Excelsior College and her Associate's Degree in Political Science from Broward Community College. She has traveled the lower 48 states, and five countries. Joan enjoys capturing nature, painting, reading and writing.
